I was on a cliff or something, running away from explosions, which I guessed was a battle.

I ran into a room, chased by fire. I found a dragon, which breathed fire, which split into 5 paths, which became 6 figures, and was told to choose one.

Did you guys get that?

I can see things from both Teal Mage's and Hybris's point of view.
Epic fights in dream sequences are cool and there's no real risk of you dying, unless this is some sort of semi-consciousness where we die if we die in the dream or something really screwed up like that.
On the other hand, I think Family Guy put it best. Having something ridiculously uber epic happen only to find out it was all a dream is like "a giant middle finger to anyone watching."
But that's just me.
