i find that fact that he's being defensive about it much more interesting than whether he's even an alt or not.

corio: if you're not an alt (as you claim), then why get so worked up about this?

I didn't find it to be that obvious actually. I was thinking more along the same lines as dahill1 in that you seemed to be arguing a sort of "Burden of Proficiency" argument as if this game began with a night start. A sort of "what in the world is a player of Glork's calibre still doing
alive
after Night 0? He should be dead!" type of thing.

It is absolutely beyond me why we are still discussing Corio. This game should not be four pages.

Incognito: Patrick and I spent time on Night 1 discussing Caesar, wikiing him, discovering that he had two older sisters both named Julia, sharing poetry, et cetera. I don't know how many of you did the same, but I kind of suspect scum would be surprised to learn of my own interest. I expect they'd check out the flavor, but stay low-key about it. Incidentally, Patrick doesn't agree with this view, though he hasn't specified whether he thinks it says anything either way.

Glork, you know full well I wasn't referring to OMGUS, but I want to
unvote; vote: dahill1
, so I'll speed this up. I would have expected people to comment on your slip with Erratus and odd non-sequitur defense (the FoSed Yosarian part, not the bear part). I found it uncanny that no one noticed this at all, and instead wagoned Xtoxm to try and kick off the game without it.

Yosarian's a bit off to me, and I find it even odder that Dahill QFT'd him. At least Yosarian admitted that this probably wasn't the most productive subject.

But it was nice voting you for at least a little.

Reminiscently,

Actually, no, I don't think that. The subject of "is Corio an alt or not", isn't all that relevent; but Corio's answers, his response, really seem strange to me here, and I think his posting here might be a very productive subject.

I don't know if this is what Yos means, but I personally have used this grilling of Corio to try to feel out his behavioral and thought processes as much as possible. I've probably gotten more out of these first four pages than most.

I want to hear a substantial post directly from Patrick.

I agree with both of you, kinda. They won't be checking it yet. Nearer when they need to claim, they'll check it and be low key with it.

I have no idea what Yos is trying to achieve with this. It seems like he's trying to argue Coro into admitting he is an alt, which I don't think has any relevance to whether he's scum or not.

Ass, I think it depends almost entirely on the person. I know I'd have done my homework already if I were a scumbag, but truth be told, I haven't looked at a damned thing. There are multiple reasons for this, none of which I feel are particularly helpful to divulge at this time.

Could anyone tell me what exactly a double-head does, please? Do they alternate posting on odd/even days or what?

It's just two users (in this case, Ether and Patrick) make a single joint account to split time in a game. It was originally used so that people with limited access could still participate in a game with stricter posting requirements. Unfortunately, an increasing number of people seem to be doing it for shits and giggles.

The two "heads" can communicate at any time, and either person can post under any time. They share one role and count as one player.

I hope that clears things up a bit.

Mmmm. Interestingly I thought somewhat similarly to this about charter's opening post as well. I'd still need to see a lot more content coming from him in order to solidify any kind of a read on him but yeah, I do agree that it could be looked at as at least a minor town-tell.

Incidentally, why hasn't the 'tricky half of Pathetric done any posting yet?

Xtoxm, why are you self-voting? Are you admitting to being scum here?

It's less effective when you do it to yourself, because we know that vote won't really stick around for very long.

Xotx, do you think we gain information by you putting yourself at L-2 or by somebody else putting you at L-2?

What makes you think this? And what makes you think you know this any better then anyone else's vote?

Elementary. The odds of there being a Jester are unspeakably minute, which eliminates the most plausible reason for you to keep a vote on yourself.
Xtox wrote:And what makes you think you know this any better then anyone else's vote?
Experience. Skill. Foresight. Hacks. Observation. Intuition. Take your pick, really.
I don't know.
I didn't ask what you know. I asked what you think. I know you're capable of taking a guess as to which scenario you find to be more helpful. So do it and explain it.
