What's going on? I just found out I'm competing against AGAR this week?
Uh?
Paraphrasing a role PM takes seconds, fabricating a good fakeclaim takes an eternity.

Yeah, good matchup. I feel like it was pretty close until Tyson Ross. My bullpen really wanted to make it close at the end there. Fortunately my offence was pretty solid this week.
Bring it on, Gorc!

Nah it wasn't really close at all for a while there. I really needed a perfect week from my starting pitchers to even have a chance. I needed them to get me K's, ERA, whip, and QS. My closers were likely too weak for Sv+H so I needed to take 2 hitting categories, and my lineup was just too banged up to do it. I was hoping for OBP but that still woulda left us tied best case scenario. I just needed to get lucky and hope your players gave it to me somewhere. In the end it didn't matter because my pitchers were only really good enough to get me K's and QS just by me streaming.
I don't think either of us had a stolen base until Friday either. I was confident about homers and RBI after Thursday but runs, SB and OBP were never miles apart. I think it's easy to get more paranoid about these things when you're at this point in the season, though, so maybe I was just imagining the worst-case scenario all the time!

my cash league is kind of riding on porcello coming through, so i'm pulling for you, gorc... though i need him to WIN, dammit. this will be my third no decision/loss in a great pitched game by a detroit pitcher if it holds up
Since we're getting down to the end of the season... Does having a player in a DL slot at the end of the season affect anything in regards to deciding on keepers?
Rios going cold sucks. I need him for SB, even with Span.
I didn't appreciate the limit of 3 moves per week until I dropped what was my backup SS...
ADD: I think I might be more aggressive next year on snatching multi-position guys in general. I think 2 years ago I had someone with some stupid eligibility that let me plug guys in odd places and shore things up, and this year having some SS and C options would have been tight.
I thought it was odd that you'd made three moves already. For most of the year, I've really been saving them for SPs late in the week in case I need extra strikeouts or quality starts.
You were unlucky to not get an even better start out of Porcello last night - there were two infield hits in the fourth, Fielder couldn't handle the throw from Santiago on the first and then Infante misplayed a bloop single and they scored it a hit. Both would have ended the inning.

Yeah- I think I left a move unused last week that could have been for Span or Gyorko. I did those hunting for steals and utility given Rios and others were cooled down.
If I can pull off HRs, I might also steal RBIs, and QS and NSVH are in reach, so it might be made a game.
You also had Wright come back like a wildman, so hopefully that stops
You don't need to worry about Wright, I hear that the Mets are benching him today - they don't want to risk the hamstring by overplaying him. I'm happy with the production I got from him the last couple of nights, definitely worth the stash!
RBI could definitely swing, that's crucial. My relievers seem to have contrived to appear either in games that the team loses, or that they're winning by too much to record a hold. If the Royals can be leading in a close game today, then that would be ideal - I hoped it would happen more than once!

I felt pretty good when Stanton and Frazier both hit two-run bombs their first time up in the early games. Once I knew Kluber or Sanchez hadn't pitched a shutout, or Haren hadn't imploded, I decided to go for all 10 categories . Really glad I won this one after the regular season I had. Good matchup Gorc, it was a lot closer than the final line!
