The Mafia QT is pretty uneventful, actually, but here it is if you really want it.

I thought toxic would post these, but I suppose I will in her stead.

Investigation flavor, Night 1 wrote:It's not easy being a MACHO cop sometimes (why does that word always sound like its being shouted in your mind?)

It's even tougher when you're a woman.

Nevertheless, this is the kind of work you're used to. Working late or odd hours of the night to find the evidence you're looking for. Trudging through dilapidated buildings (or rooms, if you're going into apartments and the like) to find that vital clue the person left behind.

Or, if you're stuck with eleven other people--nine alive, two dead--inside a rather cramped, slightly stuffy old City Hall, the kind of work you don't WANT to be doing.

These thoughts assail your mind as you slowly rise from the floor of the debate room, rubbing away the sleepies, and prepare. Steathily you creep across the room, leaving the still-ransacked place behind (no one was awake enough to try and clean up the overturned chairs when RandomActs bolted). In your mind, you have only one goal tonight, and one goal only: To see the truth behind GreyICE.

Truth be told, you were worried about him. He had been taciturn and silent most of the day, only popping up once or twice at the beginning to argue with the now-deceased RandomActs. He did apparantly perk up later on and decide to try and contribute, but...your doubts remain.

And tonight, they'll be assailed--or confirmed.

Grey had apparantly chosen one of the senator's rooms for his sleeping quarters, supposedly for all the tools and the like. Certainly plenty of places to hide things.

As you work, you start to silently hum a tune. With the door close, no one would hear you, so you don't mind. Of course, that also means you miss the struggle that occurs not too far from where you are, but that's to be related later.

Back to your searching. The cabinets and desk drawers turn up nothing but reports and such that you'd expect a secretary to find. But the important evidence is actually underneath the floor of the desk, conveniently hidden by the wall in front so that you'd only see it if you were on the same side as the secretary.

A gun. A fully-loaded, nearly mint-new handgun.

You take a second to marvel at it's beauty, before you quickly hide it in your shirt. The cold metal sends goosebumps up your spine as you slowly walk back to the floor.

You've got all the evidence you need to show them the truth about GreyICE. That he's
Guilty
.

The thoughts of whether or not they'll realize your true vocation, nor of the events that the mafia were perpetuating (or rather, perpetuated) that night, never cross your mind as a cold, restless sleep overtakes you when you lay down once more.

(You have investigated GreyICE and you have found him to be in cohorts with
the Mafia, aka Guilty
.

Investigation Flavor, Night 2 wrote:Last night was a good night, indeed.

You stare up at the ceiling, a half-smirk on your face.

Of course, it WOULD have been a full smile, but then your announcement at the start of the day nearly got ruined. As much as you hate to admit it, he nearly had people when he cried foul on your search, though you think he was partially more annoyed that you actually searched his belongings than being outted. But you still got him, that's for sure.

Your next target, though...

You heave a small, nearly invisible sigh. DeltaWave had been true to his name since he came in for Adc, making plenty of waves among the group there. But many people, yourself included, couldn't help but feel that his own words after you outed Grey was just too...faked, for lack of a better word.

Time to don the ol' sleuthing hat.

Just as stealthily as last night, you creep over to Delta's hiding spot. It's a little harder this time, since he doesn't have his own room and instead decided to sleep with the majority of you, but a simple, unobtrusive search reveals nothing.

Slightly disappointed, and still worried, you almost turn completely around to head back when a piece of white catches the corner of your eye. Your interest piqued again, you lean over Delta to see a white strip of paper barely visible underneath his body But the visible part you CAN see instantly soothes your fears as you head back to bed with a satisfied smile and a sigh of relief big enough your surprised no one woke up.

The coupon itself fully said, "Buy one scoop of ice cream, get a two scoops in a cup or bowl of
vanilla
ice cream for free!" But "vanilla" was all you needed to see.

(You investigate DeltaWave tonight and you find him to be
Not Guilty, aka not Maifa.
