I was following this game early and I wanted to replace in because SnowStorm was so obviously town, but I didn't want to replace into a scum slot so I never did :/

You coulda replaced in when I did.

I thought Displaced and FourTrouble were both obvtown pre replace in.

For a start, Desp made the sacrifice.
BROseidon was pushing it just as hard as I was (if not harder), albeit with less charisma.
...And while I pushed it before sangres did, once sangres started, they pushed with more charisma than I did.

So my best contribution to the game I have to share with three alive at the time plus one particularly important posthumous player. (Other posthumous players pushing Ceph obviously were important, but not to "epic" levels like Desp.)

I remember townreading SnowStorm on day 1 and having to defend it a few times. I think that kinda kept my head above water as we neared endgame, remembering all the backwash about that read.

Yeah, that slot was obvtown. I dragged my heels on that one. Sometimes when I see a slot I want and not sure about it completely, I go okay I'll wait until tomorrow to see if it's still needed and then I'll replace. I lose out on slots I want sometimes that way.

I really wanted to replace in later on in this game but I had already pushed Cabd into spoiling me. I thought Mastin asked for me as well.

I'd like to understand better why this game became such a slog - because it was a slog for town and scum both, I don't think it was a case of scum making a lot of mist and apathy.

Also, I don't want to forget that MattP started this game off on the right foot for town by investigating Titus. If that hadn't happened, this game could have turned out much differently, I think.

In fact I did.

I
am
glad that overall I was headed in the right direction, stopping my defense of beast, letting go and sort-of reversing my Molla townread, choosing syndrome over Snow, and I'd like to think these are all things I'd have done without sangres, butstill, not a strong game for me.

...I
was
pretty obvtown, though. :P

Still, it's getting INCREDIBLY frustrating for that to be my schtick--obvtown, but useless TO the town, minus one or two important contributions. This game might be the chronologically first (or among the first) where it happened, but it's been plaguing me all throughout 2014.
I mean, there's one or two exceptions where I legitimately was awesome, but for the most part, I'm just...not doing so well.

Fourtrouble/Madcitrus was another lynch that shouldn't have happened, and which I would have fought against if I knew millers didn't flip scum...

Hey I want a share of the Cephrir lynch fame. If my town reads had listened to me instead of hard defending him when I caught him day 1 and when I pushed him day 2, I wouldn't have second guessed my read on him later on and we would have lynched him earlier. :P

Looking back I think most of our mislynches were pretty dumb and could have been avoided with just a little more effort.

Right, how could I forget?
Make that sharing with THREE living players, and one posthumous player. With Snowstorm actually being the FIRST reason that the lynch got going as strongly as it did; his posting ignited mine. (Even though by that point you had faded, Snow.)

You shouldn't need to apologize given that it was my fault.

MOST of the lategame mislynches were, in fact.

That's generally the reason why I don't like being given too much power in a town. I'm prone to misusing it. :P

The only mislynch I can say was not my fault was AA9. Preeeeeeeeetty much entirely me after that. Butyeah. Snow vs. PV, AA9 vs. all the people she was being put up against...pretty dumb in hindsight.

And still mostly my fault. (I wasn't around to defend AA9, but had I been, we'd just have lynched pidgey or displaced instead, neither of which would've been ideal.)
