Honestly I think Hoopla should be the next lynch. Notice how fast 4 lynches have been used up. Look at who has been on what and try and lynch scum with the last one.

There are so many scum this round that they can easily influence (and they will) any attempt to lynch scum. I think a block of five pretty obvious town would actually be effective by this point to counteract this. We should also be looking at wagons that were quickly dissuaded.

This is why I agree with Hoopla that it would make more sense for there to be multiple scum teams and/or have an SK or something as opposed to just one huge team of evilness.

Ok, here's the flaw with your retort. Currently ~10 of 40 players are scum and will control the lynch at a higher fraction than 1 of 5. Second, the whole point is that we can probably find 5 very townish players so far that have a much lower chance of containing scum than the obvious scum-containing current 40 players. Additionally, five players can't override the lynching process but they can have a significant say.

If you force scum to overcommit to poor lynches you already win, especially in this game.

Doubly so when you consider that there is no way in hell its a 10 person scumteam and if its something like 2 5s they're more than happy to lynch each other too.
