They're a G5 for sure. It's pretty much the only reason they didn't get a higher ranking this season. Even USF should've been higher during the regular season.
Apparently UCF is raising a national championship banner and holding a national championship parade. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard and if they ever won a championship in the future it would dilute that since they clearly don't respect the championship committee.
If that's the case any 0-11 team could claim a national championship. If you're wanting a legitimate national championship whining's not the way to do it.
What are they supposed to do though? Undefeated, won their division, beat the team that beat bama. They beat the people in front of them. Frankly, nobody else did. Bama got gifted a slot in the playoff that they didn't deserve and might very well win a national championship because of that, while teams that AT LEAST PLAYED IN THEIR CONFERENCE TITLE GAME sat home. Bad system. Bama the worst.
Non-conference teams don't want to play actual good G5 teams, only the shitty ones (and some FCS). The schedule is not their fault at all. It's extremely difficult to get P5 teams on board with a schedule against them.

It's not the major conference teams fault that they are in an inferior conference either. UCF blames the major schools that they have more losses, so why wouldn't they want a cupcake game or two? But they have an inferior non conference schedule and an inferior conference schedule. They can't have everything both ways.
Dunno what you just tried to say there because inferior is being thrown all over the place.
UCF got screwed over and the system is flawed as fuck is all I'm saying. They had a game vs. GT
and
Memphis that got cancelled. None of these wins would've really helped them in hindsight except given them one more win over a ranked team (and it's not even their big non-conference game).
Their schedule is not their fault. Non-conference scheduling needs to be fixed.

Fly them to Atlanta fuck it. Go even deeper since they never got the chance.
I hope there are shirts. I'd get one.
If they commit and fly into Atlanta, I hope they say "we want bama, and georgia". Full-on 22v11. This has potential to be the greatest national championship of all time.
So, how do you expect them to get more difficult non conference opponents? Teams in the big conferences aren't (or shouldn't) schedule a tough out of conference opponent...Why are teams going to choose to face UCF when they could face Texas St-San Marcos and still not worry about SOS cause of their in conference games?

There are teams that want to face tougher competition. I get what you're saying but it's not anyone else's fault their SOS sucks.
ohio st, wisconsin, auburn, usc would've been added
then people would complain about 3/8 being sec teams
Make it a rule that you can't have more than 2 teams from a conference, because then you won't get 3 SEC teams every year because college football pundits love to jack themselves off to the SEC.

The fact that both SEC teams won their semifinal hurts your argument.
Back to the regularly scheduled life of a Georgia fan of "maybe next year" and "I'm gonna avoid all Tech fans for a while". Also, I feel so bad for Auburn.
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
