Gotta be Nik. His predecessors lurked hardcore- I can see that coming from frustrated scum. I'm prettty sure Fate's town based on a gut read and motivations. On the other hand I can see scum getting annoyed at a broken setup and replacing out once or even twice in a row.
Fate, breadcrumbs don't mean anything. All they tell you is what a person planned to claim, not what they are.

Hmmm... you didn't use the "I burned, therefore I couldn't have killed defense"

To be honest, I expected you to come in here and post something along the lines of that, along with "leaning toward Fate as scum" because of Colonel volunteering to burn.

AKA

It would be much easier to get Nikanor to hammer me than vice versa as Cobalt scum.

Which makes me think Cobalttown. But then why would Colonelscum volunteer to burn? Was it a gambit of "if I volunteer they'll see that as pro-town and probably make someone else burn?" I wouldn't put it past him, especially since he crafted that McG lynch pretty well.

Like I said before, I suspect scum has a way to manipulate CP. For example, perhaps they have a role that steals CP. Or they were given a huge pool of starting CP by the mod to prevent them from losing it all from burning. I'm not sure. Or we're missing a ramification of the rules that allows scum to kill even after burning.
Hmmm... you didn't use the "I burned, therefore I couldn't have killed defense"
Currently, I think burning is only useful on the town side (eg, commander claims X person's burn consumed a lot of CP so they are town) and that forcing someone to burn to prevent them using the scum kill is a little too obviously broken to be allowed. ModWIFMOM, though.
I'm going to take a look and see if there's any handy interactions, although that slot has been replaced a lot.

No, I'm still catching up. I'm finished reading d1, but I want to do multi-isos and stuff.

So I'm caught up.
Fate wrote:Vote: The1fifi for terrible play. Makes a post that makes barely any sense but shows he has indeed read the rules for CP, and should have been more careful with it.
Hello hypocrisy!
Fate wrote:Also I think we should get off the f1f1 wagon. I think scum would be a lot more careful with their vote than just to waste it like that, and the wagon smells of "ok so town are scared to waste their votes so mislynches will be easy."

Yes I know I'm one of the votes on him, in retrospect maybe not the best idea.
Trying to save your buddy without committing to being off the wagon? Also, you seemed fine with your vote on fifi until he was put at L-1.

I don't get why Fate wants AGM to be lynched on d2. He's practically confirmed town at that point, even if he did shoot at the wrong person.

That's what I have right now. Multi-isos aren't working. >_>
I have to leave for work now. I think that Fate is the scum, but Cobalt's lack of activity doesn't sit right with me. However, I do agree with what Cathart said about Cobalt yesterday, which helps cement my thoughts that Fate is scum.

Nah it's ok. It came out as mush because it's a scum built case on therefore by default not well built.

I was getting worried about the fifi wagon because of the fact that he was at L-1 yes. How often are scum lynched D1 again? I didn't want to unvote him then because we were still being careful with out votes and sorting out hot to use CP.

Also, you're suggesting that I was being hypocritical for my vote on Fifi. I.e., voting him for wasting CP. Yet it wasn't a waste of CP clearly, as it wasn't a random vote.

On top of that, I suppose you're suggesting I bussed him immediately for that mistake (I was the second vote on him.)

I'm surprised you have no case on Cobalt at all.
The1fifi (AlmasterGM - Fate - J.R - Cobalt - McGriddle)
fhqwhgads (The1fifi)
Not Voting (Cruciare - fhqwhgads - popsofctown - Iecerint - bv310)
I wonder who is the most likely to be bussing here... I'm re-reading just because I haven't done so yet, and I don't want to be blindsided by Cobaltscum.

Lol.

I got to page 8 and stopped. So far:

Cobalt calls out Fifi for claiming scum commander, makes a few joke picture posts. (I'd be pissed as hell if my scummate just scumclaimed...)

He then FOS' Pops and
Crucaire
as scum with him if Fifi flips scum. Double bussing D1? Uh huh.

Also J.R. literally disappeared right after the Fifi scumclaim. I haven't found another post for him yet. Makes me thing his "just take it as an indication of what my role is" to be ="fuck this I'm scum with a moron who just claimed commander."

Yeah, feeling a lot more comfortable with a Nikanor vote.

My slot already said this, so the credit belongs to me and not you. Please don't try to take credit for this point, because it is not yours to take.

It's not what a person says, it's how they say it. :P
Honestly though, I think it's a null tell. If they ask another person to burn while they are under pressure, I'd say it's a bit of a scumtell, but certainly not a strong one.

Col.Cathart wrote:Cobalt is acting as your everyday Cobalt, so his posting habits should not be taken into scum/town consideration. That being said, his stances were pretty strong throughout the game, called Cru scum even before CP burn plan even crystallized. Calling out another scumpartner power role, when your GF is outed already, and nothing at the time really indicated tide against Cru/Elscouta is very unlikely for scum to do.

I see, I see.

I glossed over that post and just took out the part "Town meta on Cobalt." Or maybe it just wasn't a memorable post.

Anyway, we got two weeks. I'm leaning Nikascum, he's leaning Fatescum, anything else anyone wants to talk about?

Fate, Cobalt, and the stranger, Nikanor, sat around the picnic table, talking about who the last villain was among them. They were a quiet three, perhaps tired, perhaps frustrated, or perhaps not focused.

"Gotta be Nik", Cobalt would say. Fate looked at him undecidedly, still running through the possibilities in his head. Nikanor, unfazed, was still trying to figure out what had happened here. "P.S. Having no voting patterns to look over is bullshit", she said, and neither of the people sitting next to her could honestly disagree. They continued to talk, but Nikanor must not have felt very comfortable among them. As both Fate and Cobalt had made it clear that they felt more partial to stringing her up, she would make a preemptive move. Knowing that she had a 50-50 shot, she told Cobalt that she was voting Fate, and may she be cursed with decades of magazine articles like, "Active v.s. Actual: What Type of Lurker Should you Watch for?" and "Lurking in the 21st Century".

The two walked Fate over to the tree. Fate didn't speak, but the decision didn't exactly drag on either. Maybe he was in shock, perhaps he just wasn't fully there, but the two were strong enough to put an end to his suffering. Cobalt asked Nikanor if she could search the body while he went to get a soda. Nikanor agreed with some trepidation, wondering who could be thirsty at a time like this. Didn't he care? Wasn't he excited? Hmmm...

That was odd.

Where is Fate's gun? Where's the knife? Where's the weapon?! If Nikanor was a
Townie
and Fate was a
Townie
, then that must mean...

*BANG!*

Suddenly a sharp pain stung Nikanor in her back, then her front, then her entire body. It was warm at first, hot even, then suddenly very cold. She looked down, her white blouse began to turn red, and her vision began to lack focus. As she fell to the ground, Cobalt,
Mafia Roleblocker
, threw a magazine down next to her. Nikanor turned her head to read it, and she could only make out the last few words.

"Thank you for reading this issue. I hope it aided you in the difference between town lurking and scum lurking. Remember our saying: Lynch all Lurkers!"

Final Day 4 Vote Count
  • Fate
    (Nikanor - Cobalt)

    Not Voting
    (Fate -
    Nikanor
    -
    Cobalt
    )
With three alive, it takes two to lynch.

With two votes, that is a lynch and an official end to the game.
