The possibility of this mix up occurred to me, but I did my best to put it out of my mind.

If I'd done that it wouldn't be prisoner's dilemna. Either I kept seruming Kagami and she won because I was making her unkillable, or I didn't and Pie won when Kagami serum-died, it would have meant town couldn't win in 3pLYLO. Peregrine was also obviously lying about being bp related to factions, if that were true I daresay he would have told people it was multiball ages ago!

I had no clue it was multi-ball until F-16 flipped. Even then I was confused.

When we figured it out, it was mostly too late.

My post-death action (after I was killed the first time) was to synth, so was going to make sure there was no scum metal left, but if pixel had metalled me that really would have been hilarious!!

Knowing it was multiball a lot earlier would have helped the shit out of my reads. F-16 flopping on Chandra, Pie flopping on Chandra, Tattletale sucking but getting townread, Lord Mhork being obvscum but "protected".

Still reading the dead QT though.

@Muffin (http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.ph ... 6#p6121146) I kind of was later on. How I could gladiate to effectively cause a no-lynch, and whether I could crumb something to be killed to use synth instead of gladiate. But, it turned out to all be in vain.

Thanks for running it Nati!

I had a lot of fun and I'm very sorry for replacing out. It had absolutely nothing to do with Falcon and me pushing each other; I wasn't mad at him at all. It was annoying but I was becoming more and more convinced that he was scum from it, so. I got concerned that my reads were impacted here from another game and decided to replace out rather than let an outside influence impact that. I was being overly sensitive about that and knew I probably was at the time but I decided to be safe about it. Shadoweh knew that's why I replaced out but couldn't really say anything.

Good game all. I'm just glad that I was coming around to realizing it was multiball just before I left.

Poor Shadoweh though, she was all excited that we'd be killed early and ended up going to LyLo. :p

@Nati- Thanks for running this and letting me play. I like the flavor, even if it was confusing as hell. I did see my role as 3p , and was surprised and glad I was town, but it also made it easy to disbelieve F-16's claim.

I did enjoy the mechanics, especially, since it could have gone very well for town had things gone a little differently.

Pre-in for next magic theme game.

Thanks, everyone!

I'm not sure when the next Magic game will be. At the moment, the signups for my next large are open, but it's not Magic-themed, and, after that, I'm probably going to follow up with Arcadia 2 before coming back. I have begun brainstorming setups, though, and I think the next game will likely be Ravnica-themed.

Thanks for the game nati!

The highlight of the game for me was being neighbors with zmuffin for a few weeks. I hope he will play mafia at ms again sometime.

(Also, Kagami and Mhork as opposite-scum and all that.
Mhork even scumslipped once by confusing this game with that game, because he was scum and scum in multiball in both. Obviously not something I could bring up at the time, but was true to any who were following both games.)

Has anyone ever run a "multiball" where there's actually one scumteam, but split into two parts?

Like, you have town, red mafia and blue mafia. Red mafia doesn't know who blue mafia is and vice versa (separate PTs too, of course). They have the same win condition though, that their combined numbers represent 50% of the living population.

The Inuyasha game, for example, had around the right numbers and power for that to be a viable and balanced setup. The shard mechanic would have been really neat with the teams not sharing shards.

You wouldn't get degenerate endings or tactical scumclaiming or town winning without doing anything like you get with a traditional multiball.

it was even more of a disaster than this

featuring quite possibly the longest scum QTs in the history of mafia. also featuring me failing at getting zmuffin-scum lynched and then calling out the entire scumteam post-death in the dead QT

Looks like the setup isn't to blame for the town loss there. Was there an issue with the left hand right hand mechanic?
