As Merlin in this setup it's completely vital to not be found out, and I don't think that's something you put enough weight into FA. You didn't have to do the Persival claim and that + your voting record and extremely consistent pushes on only scum meant you were the clear Merlin. Meanwhile I think the main thing every other town player had in common was that they put up a pretty decent effort trying to obfuscate who Merlin was.

I think it's hard to play Merlin in this setup though - the main thing I was putting together towards endgame was that Merlin is very limited in how they are able to do their job. At some point you have to let the rest of the Town do some solving themselves as well.

cause I figured dk is morgana between you three. he was dropping hints early game acting like they are merlin and you and shiro were not like morgana tone-wise.

so when I saw 2 town voting me on a day that needed 4 votes to get me lynched I figured this town will never vote scum ever no matter how solid my case is against them. They were not even reading what I was saying. I had to out my information somehow so I did the only thing I could do and tried to act like percival as believable as possible.

Fark cleared you on page 2 of game and cleared do on like page 5 both cause you said something that wasn't scummy according to themself and they never looked back and my persival was so passive day 1 - they just came to day 2 voting me cause they had a town read on you and dk for some reason "I still dont get the reasons tbh"

As the mod I have a lot of postgame thoughts but I'll keep most of them to myself. I thought Klick played really well and when FA baited scum into thinking she was Percival to Klick/Dk I'm surprised they never even considered the possibility. Well played everyone

I think Merlin should always push a mislynch on Day 1 to obfuscate they are Merlin.
I think scum should probably never vote anyone other than town.
I think Persivul should only lynch players who their pair align on so like Morgana player says X Y M and Merlin says X Y Z means the Persivul should hard push X Y.

Really? I think that is more risky oddly enough. I think with a Day 1 mislynch Persivul has better odds of figuring out who Morgana is

You guys were not even pushing my outed information after I did that play and instead accused me of game throwing cause your own reads were more important.

I think there's two perspectives

I think either scum wants to block and hard push for two consecutive mislynches OR be a believable Merlin to Perci and aim for either a midgame win or more info on who Merlin is

I feel like optimal Merlin play is to not get found out by town tbh. If the whole town can coalesce behind your reads while thinking you're Merlin WITHOUT knowing who scum are, then scum should be able to find Merlin just as easily.
Basically town needs to not rely on Merlin as a crutch, but more as a balance to a scumsided setup.

Just my two cents. The setup is really interesting to me

and goble I'm really not gonna come back to MS to play more games at least not with some huge breaks in between games. I might mod some here and there again but yeah This is just too much pressure.

I'm still waiting for a public apology from people who even considered I'm capable of game throwing "by claiming my own reads are mod information" in the day 3.

I was yelling all the way with alisae while scum was writing alone that with our play we could NEVER be persival - i mean, we had Chemist as morgana, gobble as town, like wtf guys

FA you're too salty for a player that knew the full scumteam from the beginning, things aren't that easy when you know nothing. We had shiro as scum pretty early, then we isolated two possible worlds that would have led us to PoE all scum before lylo, but to be fair probably we wouldn't have been able to have town follow us. I can't speak for alisae postgame but i never thought you have gamethrown - i think you shouldn't have claimed persival and have more faith in the town lategame but that's it. Everyone makes mistakes, and in retrospect after seeing how scum arrived at the conclusion that you were merlin i am really surprised by their reasoning - they considered us for roles that couldn't possibly be true based on our play, and didn't consider chemist as merlin who played a very well game imo, as well as klick (but at least they noticed). Claiming that you were not persival, from our position where we couldn't possibly ever be persival, looked way less bad of a decision BEFORE we learned that scum ignored the evidence that we had absolutely no idea who was merlin or morgana in this game and therefore we couldn't be the real persival.

Also by the way i never participated in this game, alisae never shared account info so e signed my posts

I was happy to be any town role or Morgana. And I got the 25% chance of neither.
I like bussing, it just is so strategically not valuable anymore.

Please note that i never insulted you, literally never, neither in public or private. I never said you threw, never said you played poorly, never implied anything of the sort and if anybody made you think otherwise they misinterpreted/misreported me, presumably on good faith but that was still a mistake. I think you could do better, of course, just as much as i/we could do better.

We can discuss our respective plays, but from my side i have never offended you OR your play and if you perceived anything different, i apologize on the account of whoever or whatever made you think that i was judging you as a person or your playstyle.
