its a game of assumptions. of course he is not 100% confirmed but ill explain the thought process:

using the worse scenario assumption, scum have the town win condition on their PMs, so they know where we should head to win.

its not logical for scum to attack someone like this, scum already would know town knows their win conditions. This attack therefore comes from someone who DOES really have the town win condition and thought someone didnt have it.

ps: i also sincerely doubt a scum would claim the ability to give people PR.

rereading over that period of the game, im starting to think flay was killed because of the organization of the name claim thing more than his town status. Other than that, I dont see why we are in a setup based on notorierety and on revealing your names at some point of the game. We could prob catch some inconsistencies after when scum need to make important decisions (killing confirmed, etc).

There is pretty clearly one scum faction. The flips are red/green fashion, bad/good, and the "leader is dead". This leaves no ambiguity. He lead the scum group.

Guderian, you are defending yourself using Mod-WIFOM. We do not know whether or not there is only one scum team. What you are saying is, regardless of how certain you are that there is 'no ambiguity', only speculation.

yep, i think name claiming could be very powerful, if not the discussion that gathers around it (we arent having that much atm). later when i have some minuts ill try to compile the chart that flay left before he died.

also yeah, as usual there is people that oppose to it and i understand, nobody wants to die... but, look at the context, two scum dead, people can get confirmed and we avoid unnecessary kills that way, also the ability of daykill. I think we might be crossing the line, if not very near, where the benefits of claiming outweigh the disadvantages.

Gud - why didn't you claim your kills at the time?
Also, why did you not change your vote to Faraday when you realized your mistake in 507?
And why did you kill MBF when you thought Faraday was scum?
Did you use a different weapon type for each kill?

I shot kitoari and gain some notoriety through other ways not yet made clear to me.

I can confirm that Guderian has received at least one notoriety point outside of him killing someone. I'm not going to go into any details or expand on this further right now.

My problem with name claiming is it is a complete waste of time debating whether or not we should do it. See GoT mini theme game run by Faraday. Kinetic fostered this notion that it was a great idea and we wasted an entire day discussing the virtues and problems of name claiming. So either we do it or we don't, but we don't waste time discussing it. Since we now know the notority reveals are attributed to a specific player then I see how we might catch a liar. The people that don't want to claim probably are like Faraday who have specific information about someone else or know that someone has specific information about them.

I'm fine with name claiming.
