I trust in my own talents to get me through, and in my ability to sway people by davesaz's play not being scum and being LHF town.

However, in the event I fail to, focus on killing players who are going to be threats, not players who are going to be PRs.

Top priority would be Hu Tao.

After that, read the thread; if there's no paranoia Gypyx/Thomith were scum snowing the town with a davesaz/Ranger bus, then kill them; if there IS suspicion on them being scum, you can kill elsewhere. Take it day by day to tell for sure who that'd be. I don't know who yet, but intend to help just in case.

Generally speaking, my philosophy as scum is kill who you want to, not who you feel you ought to.

If a kill feels obligatory, reconsider. Kill who is best for you to kill, not who you think you need to kill.

Focus on the competent players who are widely townread, not the players who are currently accurate or currently townread. Accuracy and townreads change; skills and learned experience don't.

I’m no skilled player, just experienced.

Key to scum play is not panicking, and not feeling boxed in.

You're never required to bus, you're never required to kill a player, you're never required to do anything, so do what you feel like doing.

Don't try to perfectly mimic your townplay, just try to do what feels natural to do.

Your town self is not as good as you think they are, so be unafraid to be seen badly.

Just play however you please, focus on fun over winning, and the winning will come from your casual vibes shining through and an apparent lack of scum plan with your name on it.

Confidently own up to scummy behavior, with a positive spin.

Confidently reassess.

Confidently kill who you want to kill.

Don’t be worried if something should be some way; Confidently do it as you feel you want to.

I am sure to draw night actions from the town; even if I don’t (this game MUST be PR-light, because 3 goons vs 12 town is inherently brutal; we may not have ANY power roles unless counting the neighborhood), I will be in the crosshairs of elimination every day phase.

Yet I’m confident I can survive D2. Will I? Who knows, I could be pushed through at deadline if I fail to beat the clock in swaying people away. Still, because I’m confident I can, it’s easier to make it happen.

Confidently give the aura of a town player who has beliefs.

Confidently change reads as you feel is natural to.

Confidently make moves which you personally believe you wouldn’t make as town.

Then Confidently stick to it having been town anyway.

Confidently convince yourself you are town, while Confidently lying because you remember who's scum.

You can display a lack of confidence in thread. Just trust in yourself outside the gamethread.

Being on the fence is fine, display it with confidence.
Lying is fine, lie with confidence.
Display neutrality confidently.
Reconsider and reassess with confidence.

It makes a huge difference in how you are perceived. It got us a forming Naerys counterwagon as well as, however temporarily, at least one vote off of me.

The town believes, correctly, scum haven’t been motivated. They’re going to look at you as unmotivated scum unless you are confident in your belief you aren’t.

Be confident you were middling town. Be confident you weren’t committed. Be confident the problem lied elsewhere, and if you do own up to something, be confident it wasn’t scum. If people call you defensive, be confident you weren’t. Or alternatively, be confident you are, because you have good reason to be. If people call you scumplaining for being caught for the wrong reasons, then show confidence in being town attacked for nonsense reasons.

You can falter, just don’t let it be because you actually are clueless. Pretend you are with confidence.

And I both really don't want to join in in voting you, and I can't come out and say I'm not voting for you because I cannot come up with a reason that anyone has done anything scummy (because no one is doing anything scummy because they are all town)

Until I figure out which person from the neighborhood I think is the best to vote, I’m using my vote to give information about what I’m thinking, since apparently not voting is the work of the devil according to some. (sorry for being hyperbolic) But also, if wanting to glean info from someone’s voting history if they are killed/limmed is a big thing, I don’t mind this being put out there.

I don’t like Day 2 from Penguin. I didn’t really love his D1 either. Maybe it’s just his playstyle but continually prodding people to vote and saying they add nothing to the game unless they vote is odd to me since he seems to vote randomly with no explanation a good amount of the time. He says talk is meaningless yet votes (sometimes) with no (obvious) incentive. Seems like he does that so he can retroactively come up with any explanation he wants for his votes.

i am happy to be the kill. there are enough people to go after tomorrow, and leaving the hood alone for those who want to keep on shooting there seems ok.

not great just us two left, i am not good enough to be able to get another push going when so many town were so locked in on Ranger/dave so quickly.

this game feels almost over, we have zero power between us and basically we are at teh mercy of any info town can pull together. a mass claim from town will likely win it for them if they go that root
