I was specifically avoiding pairing with my strongest townreads because I didn't actually think I'd end up having endgame equity like that

it's been a good while since I've been a universal townread

The completed games I've played since site hiatus are:
Jingles 9p old school newbie game - town win
StarCraft 2 Mafia Large theme - town win
Hope Plus One - abandoned (advantage town)
S_S Boonytunes mini theme - town win
Guns n Roses - town win
Any non-dead player can post in this mafia game - scum win (I didn't choose to join this game but I did become invested in it)
Starry Night Mafia - town win

I want to see scum winning more games.

Even good scum players are losing a lot of scum games this year.

LLD and FL lost their last scum games. Scum winrates are pretty low.

I've seen lot setups being abnormally townsided lately.

anytime or place I suggest some more antitown setups get run people snap at my fingers
I am about to first time mod a setup that I really like how it treats the town and the scum so I am excited about watching that but it's pretty new with lots of unknowns. It is maybe better take my turn modding setups that are scummier than site meta and trying to roll scum and play really really good rather than making enemies telling people I don't like their setups

i'm gonna try to be more proactive and/or use more of LLD's concepts from her article next time I play scum

If I get lynched for being more proactive and/or using more of LLD's concepts from her article I'll cry a lil

Hoenstly yea it is hard for scum to win but scum can win and it has happened. I think this game is genrally meant to play on paranoia and that is what scum should strive in order to win.

I had fun though and I am sorry you hate my play with fire pops :(
The best way I've determined for scum to win is to make sure people pressure other pairs more because imo it's really hard to shift a consensus read in this setup

I feel like a relatively small player base makes games more townsided than they would otherwise be

Mislynching obvtown players is a skill that's never taught nor discussed as part of being a good scum player but it's the most important skill for mastering scum play.

What changed?
Strategy developed. Interestingly the variant form was a scum win so I think the way to make this series remain varied in results is to introduce more variant forms

Making the game pansexual is a huge buff to town.

It needs a compensatory nerf to town.

Scumpartners are the worst, they spew you scum and don't do shit for you

Bus them all and play solo

Step 1: People you think are obvTown are not necessarily obvTown.
Step 2: You are not obvscum and you should abuse that by Spreading The SuspicionTM.

am I in the same book as you

I missed the whole Normal changes drama but I wouldn't be surprised if that led to people overdoing it
also ofc the baseline is like 40% Town win (and specifically the games other people were in :V)
