It's an attempt to look Town, and is often faked.
Town doesn't need to be "Oh noes, the Power Roles died!"

The flavor seems to imply that Tajo vigged TSS.

What a lame scumtell. I'm not allowed to be disappointed? Just because scum do it doesn't mean town don't do it too.

I disagree. How is a death ray from Evil Atom, an atomic superhero? It fits much better with Girl Genius. Here's Agatha and Gilgamesh talking about how Gil doesn't keep death rays around:

http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20040510

And the Baron fighting with one:

http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20040702

Whoever killed TSS had a death ray and was therefore Wulfenbach scum, in my opinion. What makes you think that Evil Atom had a death ray?

in addition to scumminess already explained yesterday, the "this sucks" scumtell works and he's trying to extrapolate on potential kill sources from comics not yet revealed to be in the setup rather than accept the obvious kill source revealed in the nightscene.

The mod linked a strip from Girl Genius, I think it's fairly save to reason that there are some Girl Genius characters here. Also I don't see any implication in the night scene that Tajo killed TSS.

Oh I see it now. The death ray was at Tajo's feet. Okay that's reasonable.

After Lamont flipped town cop, we all [should have] thought Qwints was a lying scumbag. Mafia were the only ones who knew Qwint wasn't scum, so they took a gamble and off'd the claimed power role.

To me, Vino's recent posts have looked bad, but probably noobtown rather than scum. Any competent scum knows about the 'this sucks' scumtell and can transverse it pretty easily, and I don't think scum would push a NK theory they know to be false that hard.

I think Santos definitely has the edge in scumminess for me.

Oh, okay, you got me under some fat pressure. I guess I should role claim cuz you guys are awfully good at using the information based on yesterday and applying it well here today.

1) I am Riff
2) from Slug Freelance
3) i have a townsperson's role
4) I did my best to see Lamont's innocence, but his own 'fail' is what did him in. I actually thought his 'breadcrumb' was quite clever. Too bad it got him lynched.

And now today our formidable players are so jaded by the 'this sucks' posts that come from myself and Vino that they figure there is nothing else to go on and just vote for something completely a null-tell and trite.

Is there anything my voters would like me to do for nostalgia's sake since they know perfectly well what I'm supposed to do next?

As for who I think are scum:

1) Those who thought the silent speaker was clearly scum
2) Those who advocated the most for Lamont's lynch

Please, tell me how I should have thought only this and not that there could be two cops in a large game like this?

How did you come to only this conclusion?
Why would you state the obvious in what the scum team would obviously do in killing the other town cop?
Why would you bother voting for and following people instead of stating your own intentions as to why I would be scum trying to play a sob story at the beginning of day 2.

I'm actually just irritated that our doctors are full of fail and didn't protect Quints.
Or...maybe we have a doctor that kills whoever he protects. It wouldn't be that far of a stretch to consider that as a possibility would it considering this is a more original mafia idea with a crazy theme?

@Serial, uh, because there are happy bandwagoners on people who are less than fantastic of mafia players. So why should I waste time? My voters obviously want me to do something and I figured I'd give them a show and see how they respond.

It seems odd to me that anyone anti-town would kill Qwints, given that his lynch would have been likely today. I can certainly see someone pro-town doing it, but two pro-town vigs is a little extreme. I don't think it's safe to say that the scum did it, at the very least.

Claiming at four votes is scummy ("Fat pressure"?! Are you kidding?!)
Self-voting is
extremely
scummy.
"I have a townsperson's role" is the weirdest way of phrasing what he wants to imply.
I have no idea why he would claim it as a towntell that he 'did [his] best' to see Lamont as innocent. Why try to look at someone in a biased manner? Apparently, now anyone who didn't want to do this is top of Santos' scumlist.
His "oh no last night sucked" post is scummy.
His "stop picking on me" appeal to emotion is scummy.
His behaviour yesterday was odd, as I outlined in my previous post.
Santos 416 wrote:I'm actually just irritated that our doctors are full of fail and didn't protect Quints.
Why would the doctors protect someone who claimed a guilty on someone, which turned out to be false? This is ridiculous.
Santos 417 wrote:So why should I waste time? My voters obviously want me to do something and I figured I'd give them a show and see how they respond.
More appeals to emotion, and that last sentence is a very poor justification for claiming early. Far too panicky.

rofl - you can't just take one action from D1 where someone tries to push the envelope and declare someone to be town in full force. There was hardly even a wagon on him, he had 4 votes, 25% of which were his own! You can't just dismiss everything that happened today as irrelevent.

Besides - Santos has a history of thinking outside the box and playing with exact letter wording of the rules (see fake vote to call out scum in lylo). Why couldn't he be trying to pull a fast one with that incident?

Percy's reaction was a little over the top and it stands out for being overreactive (what's with the suddent flying exclaimation marks and accusations? He's claimed, just assess the claim zz) but I odn't see how that shoots your town read all to hell.

Because I'm tired of people pushing the buck on new players and ending up lynching just townies. That seems to be the way everyone rolls in these forums instead of trying to coach the newbies. Its so stupid.
"I have a townsperson's role" is the weirdest way of phrasing what he wants to imply.
I didn't want to do every word for word in my role email because the mods here at this forum are hard core on claims that are too close to the role PMs. So instead of vanilla townie, I alternatively used townsperson.

The mafia knew Qwint wasn't with them, so they had to believe his cop claim. Thus, killing someone you know isn't a lying-scumbag-cop means you can stop him from reporting his investigation. It also eliminates giving the doctor a chance to have faith in Qwints and protect him for the next night. And of course the mafia is responsible for his death.. it was the 1st kill of the night. Mafia always have the 1st kill in the write-ups.
Percy wrote:Why would the doctors protect someone who claimed a guilty on someone, which turned out to be false?
