My early scummy shenanigans were fully intentional and were supposed to make poptajo look more pro-town. FYI.

I may have been right about only one thing, which is that zwet was bus'ed. In fact, every one of his buddies was on the wagon.

He might have been right about tajo, but he was pretty much wrong about everything else's alignment.

It's very hard to scum hunt under the circumstances I was in. My judgment is worthless when I'm under fire, and only a bit better than worthless when I'm not.

Was zwet heavily bus'ed, as I said he was, yes or no?

MafiaSSK, why did you fake a post restriction? Are you just uninterested in helping your team, at all? Why even play, then?

This game was interesting to read. The most interesting thing to me was that the anti-lurking mechanic helped town enormously, and scum not at all. That could've been different if some townies genuinely went unexpectedly V/LA I guess.

The small cadre of mutually-trusting townies were quite effective. I don't think I've seen that before. Is that something people like to try, or is it too dangerous if it goes wrong?

I was surprised Tajo didn't get lynched sooner. His claim was never really credible and it just got worse and worse as more vanillas and goons flipped.

Giving up as a townie is bad times.

yes, it did, because of the dictum "lynch all liars". Faking a PR for absolutely no reason made us waste a very, very large amount of time scrutinising you because you have no motivation to do that if you are town and playing to your win condition.

And that Troll would have been the cult recruiter if there was one. Sadly Troll has a history of largely unwarranted third party role speculation (which Troll be trying to keep under control.) This game Troll wasn't convinced that MafiaSSK wasn't a mason survivor until the game ended. In Futurama Mafia when Xtoxm claimed SK the first couple pages of the game Troll's thought was that him could be a jester as the play made no sense for a SK. When play strikes Troll as suboptimal Troll will often go look for other explanations and Troll seems to look too far afield from the reasonable. Troll should just be willing to accept suboptimal play Troll supposes.
hmm... Troll speaks in the third person and gets accused of being in a third party group often...

I think that even though rofl is not always right, he is right an above average percentage, and that his pressure is very useful whether he's right or not. One of the things I think really helps the town is when he stops people from going in ten different directions. It forces the pressure onto one person which gives a better read on the one person, and forces everyone to comments on the one wagon.

For me, personally, it eliminates a lot of confusion (as I tend to go off on tangents). I understand how some people find it frustrating to be the target of rofl's wrath, but I think in the long run it's a good thing.

I agree about rofl

I don't have any problems with his playstyle and I believe he generates substantially more true positives than false positives compared to what you would expect on average (at least there's little danger of false negatives in his case also :P)

So do I.

Except when he does it to you in every game.

Then you quit playing altogether because it's not fun anymore.

But other than that, it's great.

everybody agreeing with rolf please check War in Heaven mafia.

i think his playstyle is good (elvis has some good points) but sometime he just cant accept he is wrong. (and statically he is more than half of the time).

this time zwet just made things too obvious.

Agreed. In WoH rofl showed his true colors. This isn't a plot he uses to attack someone and try and gain information. He well and truly believes EVERY ONE OF HIS TARGETS IS SCUM. There is no gray line for him, its white or black.

When he is in a normal situation it isn't that big of a deal. He only has one vote, and that naturally restrains him. It is even better when other people restrain him as well and are able to use the information he gets out of people.

But don't ever expect him to be using that information. And if he has no restraint... well my mad dog analogy in WoH is not very far off the mark.
