Eventually, it was agreed that Gimli had fallen out of favour with the group, and he was forcefully grappled onto the ship's plank.

You could sense it. There was a dangerous tension among the Crew, usually so jovial and unified. Ever since the First Mate died of scurvy. They'd had such a way with the sailors. You could tell that some were planning mutiny. The time for talking was over. You studied your old pistol. You'd known it would come it in handy, and not just for naval battles. Someone was going to get smoked.
