Thanks Fritzler

FIRST PICK: Fritzler

Fritz has been extremely loyal to me and I am sure he will make a great assit.

SECOND PICK: Iammars

Pooky never responded to my PM last task, I have doubt in his activity and capability. I choose Iammars over PBuG, because PBuG got a score of 0, which I didn't find too impressing.

Team name will be selected by tomorrow sometime!

Well after conferring with This Is Not Me, I've decided I'm going to take a third team member. Honestly I haven't heard much from either PBug or Pooky lately, but Pooky was PM on the first task and we did win. I think he's capable of being a valuable contributor if he focuses on the task, so I'm going to give him one more chance to prove himself a valuable asset to the Narninian organization. Hopefully finals will wrap up eventually and he can step up for the coming challenges.

And we're going with "The Syndicate" as our new team name.

Well, The release of the Movie 'Chronicles of Narnia' has arrived and naturally the film executives would like me to Help. They are looking to create some 'buzz' about the movie in the mafiascum community, and to appeal to the target audience that tends to go to Mafiascum.

Your task is this: You will Create a Thread for your team, (something like XXX team recommends Narnia or something more creative) -- In the thread you may have 1 or more posts, Highlighting one marketing method for them to use (example, post a picture of a Poster Layout with a tagline from the movie or the book). They have artists, and professionals on staff, so if you use the poster idea - it wont be judged on how well its drawn(dont worry about that) but on the concept itself.

There are a few executives who will be deciding which they feel will promote the movie the best. Whoevers they like better will be the winner, someone from the other team WILL be fired.

I have two questions..

A: When is the deadline?

B: Can it me required that both teams send their Advertisements by PM first to avoid cheating and the opposing team copying the ideas? After both are submitted, then they are posted (with no changes allowed).

Just because the deadline is Sunday, doesnt mean you cant send it in earlier -- I think we can appreciate it if the game moves faster.

Some Clarification: The task is to present me with a marketing method that the executives would use to appeal to scummers, or the demographic of people that go here. As with the Poster example, it doesnt have to be completly finished -- (with the poster we'd have artists make it prettier) but I'd like to to be solidly laid out for me (again with the poster example -- saying 'We're gonna have a poster that has Narnia characters in it' would not be a competitive submission - whereas one with a neat or novel design and a catchy tagline might be).

I've submitted the Syndicate's advertisement to Narninian. I agree with Blackberry that there could be problems if the teams post them since there could be the perception that the second team was influenced by the first team. Its in the judges hands now.

Hmph.

Narninian did me a "personal" favour a while back, I owe him for his service. Otherwise I would not be gracing this ~delicate shudder~
reality program
with my presence. I suppose it is too much to hope that my appearing will bring some class to this whole act.

Nonetheless, I am prepared to witness your clumsy, oafish efforts. No doubt it will bring me some measure of amusement to witness the futile proletarians grasping to be "upper class".

Alright then, bring on the inevitable disaster. ~yawn~ No really, I'm fascinated.

It would appear I'm a little more flexible than Mr. Everett. While I respect his business and admire his results, his attitude is so... New York.

The movie business is stale, baby. Sequels and remakes are dry. Inject some pizazz into this venture, and you could be looking at a first-class ticket to the big game. But don't waste our time. If you don't make due on your one shot in this business, you'll be serving me coffee tomorrow morning.

And that's advice you can take to the bank.

~spits tea~ New York?! Preposterous! I would not count myself among the American hordes if you paid me (Although, Mr. Johnston, you may well be one of the few people with enough money to tempt).

All insults to my nationality aside, I agree with my esteemed colleague. People say we British are stale - I will tell you now that the stiffness of our upper lip has nothing on some of today's young Hollywood ~cough, cough~ "actors". What I would like to see is something with a bit of class. Something which is genuinely entertaining in and of itself, rather than relying on big names and flashy effects. Give me something clever, my friends, or I'll see to it that you are serving Mr. Johnston his coffee tomorrow morning.

(Earl Grey with a slice of lemon for me, ta.)

Its a pleasure to finally meet the esteemed panel. We here at the Syndicate know how valuable your time is, which is why we expedited our proposal to under half the alloted time and got it ready for you (submitted via Narninian) last night. But I guess we'll have to wait for the other guys to throw something together before we can get down to business. If either of you would like to review our plan in the meantime, just contact me and I can provide you with an advance copy.

A bit hasty, Mr. Zero? Reginald and I are
fully
aware that your team has already submitted your entry. While your promptness is noted, both sides will be reviewed at the same time to ensure fair play. Just because you got it done fast doesn't mean you got it done right. It's a tricky balance; let's just hope you can walk the line.

Time will tell whether you sacrificed the quality of your work in order to submit hastily.

History shows in this game that the winning submissions were not those done in the eleventh hour. Milking the deadline is a sign of lack of focus, not craftsmanship. Lets face it, the movie is already released, time is at a premium.
