If the Jester gets lynched, the Jester wins and one of the townies that voted for the Jester will be randomly selected to die.
If the Mafia targets the Bomb, then the one of the Mafia members dies.
The Mafia wins if they can gain a 50% majority.

I would roll for a vig first, if there is a vig, automatically NO sk.

3 killing roles in a 12 player game is just too much.

I would then roll for RB, then Doc, then Cop, and prevent there from ever being all 4 town power roles.

Maybe auto give the towna cop if there are no other power roles too.

Otherwise I like it.

Might be too confusing, but I appreciate it - SK + Vig is indeed problematic.

Also, in the case of no town power roles, it's 2:10 mountainous (see last line).

many many minis run with 3 mafioso and a SK, esp with added powerroles. You might put in a clause like: "If a town rolls no power roles it becomes two-fold mafia (2 v 2 v 8)." But yes you might change the power role set up. 3 v 1 v 8 could be tough with just a Doc, or Roleblocker, or Cop, but it wouldn't be terrible.

Would the original setup with an OSV instead of a Vig fix the SK/Vig/Mafia problem?

Explain how that would go. I thought about it a bit and I don't see it as possible. Mass claim if everyone true claims the worst feasible strategy I can think of is 4 claimed SS 1 townie, the town has to lynch mafia correctly twice.

I think the town can improve upon this by fake-claiming, and thus the mafia could fake claim as well.

I think most of the interesting setup/strategy debate would happen here and in practice it'd be mostly coin flips:

If the townie hammers a saint, the mafia win. If a saint hammers the other saint, the mafia win.

The only winning move is not to play.

Guardian, I haven't run through the other options, but if all town players tell the truth and both scum claim SS, town EV is 2/3 (split the claimed SSs into two pairs, and have one hammer the other - lynch the hammerer if he refuses; if both pairs are M/SS, town wins, otherwise mafia wins). I would guess that the Mafia can do better by splitting their claim.

(It's also 2/3 if both Mafia claim Townie; SS are now confirmed, and town wins if they hit Mafia D1.)

Actually, I think it's 2/3 no matter what. If the claims split 3/2, have one SS hammer another. 1/3 chance of losing immediately (SS --0 SS), but otherwise either Mafia gets lynched or Mafia refuses to hammer (and gets lynched that way), and now the SS are confirmed and have numbers to lynch both claimed townies.

I doubt the town can improve on this with fakeclaims.

yb, with two kills a night 2:14 is 21% for the town. 3:13 is about 7%. 3:14 is even worse, because the numbers are bad for the town *and* they can't fix them by no-lynching (5%).

[edit]Actually, it might be to the scum's benefit to only use one kill on certain nights, to get the numbers in their favor. Too lazy to take that into account, though.[/edit]

Surpisingly, 1:15 is almost exactly 50%, if the scum is forced to kill twice (though games with only an SK tend to be not-much-fun).

Speaking of C9 variations, I know there's one being run in Little Italy right now where the doctor is replaced with a bodyguard, but has anyone suggested one where the doctor is replaced with a jailkeeper?
