(But I blame the bussing. Seriously, the scum largely suicided with their sheer level of bussing.)

Everyone has their off games~

And yeah. The setup really strongly disincentived busing...but sometimes the buslust is all-powerful.

Oh yeah, forgot to ask. The setup was flavorful as usual, but I decided to go a lot lighter on the scene flavor this time, focusing on just rushing the flips out instead. This is in contrast to Abarat, where I put a lot more into the day/night scenes. I just made the call that the source could sustain a setup but not an involved narrative with Day/Night scenes. What were your thoughts? Did you have a preference for how scene flavor was handled here vs, say, Abarat? Did the really minimal flavor bug you more than no flavor would have? Always looking for constructive criticism.

(Worth noting - while answers to this may influence how I do flavor in MOST games, Absolute Midnight will have the same scene style as the other two. The storybook motif is very, VERY intentional there - I'm just wondering how my other games should go.)

myyyy bussing i thought worked out fine since I didn't think TNE would get lynched over me that day anyway

didn't actually pay that much attention to the individual scum players after that so don't really remember how much each of them bussed after that

First off, thanks/props to hito for making and modding an incredibly awesome game. The role interactions and clever innovations on known roles were spectacular. Well done!

Second, excellent job town. Particular props to Vi, AM, Nacho, Remilia Scarlet, Sajin. CarbonFiber, I hate the fuck out of you for protecting me.

Third, I'm never playing solo in a game with over 15 people ever again.

Matt, it was fun hydraing with you. I know some people enjoy reading hydra QTs so I am good with releasing it.
hito wrote:4nix3ty has been something of a staple in my games, and it’s cool to watch him improve.
thanks, sometimes it feels like games are an exercise in unimprovement, heh.

I enjoyed Abarat's flavor more, but that is partly due to the source material being completely new to me. Minimal flavor and timely flips works out in large games, especially if you have images to use.

@Remilia Scarlet players, don't feel bad that I suicided on you. It was for the better. I was seen as scummy and I wanted to make my power useful so my death alleviated a mislynch most likely on myself.

I had crumbed heavily that I would target you at the end of the day so I was essentially locked into my choice on you. Towards the end of night I strongly felt that you were town and that I was just going to suicide against you. My other option was Nibelung followed by Magua. I wanted to hide with Nibelung to silence the people who thought that he was scummy. :P

It was a good time hydraing with you too. And sure, but I'm just mean in it, as is standard for me in hydra QTs

I wanted to sort you out and the quick way to sort you out for sure is aggression. And then you died far too quickly.
Uh. I knew you had some type of reaction test for reading me. It's a good thing though. <3
No matter how high the stakes, sooner or later you're just gonna have to go with your gut.
And maybe, just maybe, that'll take you right where you were supposed to be.

In post 2496, hitogoroshi wrote: I was surprised no one took all of the Troupe members, gave bios for each, and speculated on possible PRs. I was kind of assuming everyone would figure there was a strong chance of Chrollo being a role thief, but that didn’t come to pass.
Remembrance did some, and he showed why I don't like it: it got him off track. The one thing I was fairly sure about though was that Chrollo was in the setup and that he would be a role stealer. But I didn't really see a need to bring it up.

I can't believe I caught Monkey in his contradictions and allowed myself to write it off as derping. There was no way I was going to let him live to endgame though.

Thanks for the game hito, a cool setup and your modding was great throughout. There literally isn't any theme out there I'd be more excited about playing than HxH, so if you do do that Greed Island game I'll be all over it.

Everyone in the town was great! The best I've played with.
