Honestly, a cop investigation is a guarunteed lynch unless the mod comes down from above and confirms you as town. Then the real cop investigates the fake one.

There's still a lot of time today, so I doubt it will hurt if it's wrong, at least with this few votes, but it would be nice to have confirmation if Strykker actually has information as a cop or other role.

Don't take this the wrong way, Don, but I'm not sure there's anything you could claim that would make me not want to lynch you. The correct play here should be to test the cop, unless Strykker's been pulling our leg, or if you've got some fantabulously amazing role.

Um... to me it looks like Strykker's just pulling our leg. It looks much like a joke/random vote to me, and he just said not random as a joke, if you could clarify please strykker (and possibly we could wait to bandwagon poor don til after strykker responds)

I am in no way a cop.

I just picked someone and was being a jackass.

I really should not have been so adamant about that in my first post.

However, this might not be so bad a thing after all.

Lets look at what happened as a result of my idiocy.

1. VitaminR jumps on a bandwagon without even thinking to question what I'm talking about.
2. Don Gaetano freaks out way too much, especially since I haven't actually claimed anything I've just voted for him.
3. A couple posts later Don Gaetano is already willing to roleclaim with only a couple people having checked in the thread.
4. Armlx is more than willing to lynch Don Gaetano for the sake of not being lynched himself (seems like he has self preservation on his mind).

personally I don't like a couple of reactions that occured here, what do you guys think?

I realize Twomz was right here, but this seemed a scummy comment. There were a lot of people not thinking it was a joke, and I can't really blame them for that. It seems that either he was defending a scum partner, or, more likely, that he already knew Don Gaetano is innocent.

I don't agree with Strykker that Don Gaetano was too defensive. I believe his reaction was quite normal for an innocent townie, possibly with a good role, who thinks a cop has found him guilty. As for the reaction of others, I don't really see much that seems suspicious. They all thought Strykker was a cop and acted accordingly. If anything, it has to be Snap's random vote during the bandwagon. It seems a bit weird to totally ignore that Don Gaetano was already at four votes.

1. VitaminR jumping on the bandwagon like that is completely understandable. I would've done the same in his position.

2. Well, in retrospect I might have overreacted a little, but since I jumped to the conclusion that you either thought you had or pretended that you had information on me, I reacted right away. How would you feel if you thought someone basically said they were the cop and that you were scum on day 1 when you're innocent.

3. Since I wrongly thought you would claim cop (as did most others) I would really have no other option than to roleclaim now would I? If you read my post I said I'd roleclaim when I heard a clarification from you. By that I meant that I'd claim in a heartbeat if you claimed cop. It would be pointless, not to do that.

4. I think that was a joke, I for one don't think that was scummy at all.

So basically we have nothing. On day 1 most of the town has nothing to go by, and the the few that do probably know nothing that would make them roleclaim to share it. So when you gave the impression that you knew something, it was the only thing the town could go after. Personally I think it was an innocent mistake from your part (although I could be wrong), but please be careful about remarks like that in the future.

I just felt it was kinda obvious that Strykker wasn't claiming as a cop, and that there was no point at this stage in getting on a bandwagon to lynch Don Gaetano, hence the random vote. So I wasn't ignoring the fact that he was at four votes, merely accounting for the fact that I felt he was at four votes due to a false premise.
