Now that bothers me. We have no way to believe that Coron is telling the truth. He could be bluffing. He was so ready to prove it to us a couple of posts ago, and now he's coming up with a way out?three word name wrote: I think that you should use the mass block whenever you feel like it
I think Coron should roleblock tonight. It'll prove whether or not he is innocent, and if it does work, it will buy us more time by thwarting a scum-kill.-

Ok, that seems to be a majority of the active town's opinion. [Raises hand] I would say to wait and not announce it.
I'm gone for the next 24 hrs minimum. It's a long drive from FL back to MI. Here's to not dying in a flaming motor vehicle accident!
BTW- I'm vulnerable tonight as apparently WOLG's saggy boobs disgusted me.
-

now that I think about it. with the number of one shot roles you could really hurt the town if you blocked several one shot pro-town abilites. the mafia kill is the same each time but you can only use a one-shot ability once.
so what I am saying is that you should tell the town when you are going to use it so the one-shots wont loose their shot. but the mafia still lose their kill.
but this only works if their are more one shot pro-town abilites than repeatable pro-town abilitesalmost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea-

You're right; I wasn't thinking. I just assumed that Coron was claiming a pro-town role since he was trying to avoid a lynch. But I realize now that he could just as well be scum with a one-shot mass roleblock.mathcam wrote:Could you explain this? Wouldn't it just prove that he has/had the ability that he claimed? How would that explain anything about his innocence?
Here's the thing: there's not much "planning" scum can do. Either they kill one night, or they're thwarted and kill the next. It's an ongoing thing.ibaesha wrote:Scum just want to be able to plan around your ability.
But as three word name mentioned, if Coron decides to arbitrarily roleblock one night, he could be thwarting a pro-towner's one-shot. (I realize that scum apparently has abilities too, but we outnumber them, and I think our abilities outnumber them too).
You're not thinking from a town standpoint, ibaesha. A sudden, unannounced roleblock one night could do considerably more harm than good.
Honestly, I think Coron's one-shot is pretty useless because it affects everybody. Still, it buys one extra night before we get to the lynch or lose stage. It doesn't matter when he uses it, so I wanted Coron to do it soon because I still think he's bluffing. But that was just my opinion.-

If you think he's bluffing, I think the best play is to lynch him today. I'm suspicious of him for other reasons, and now he's come up with a role-claim which is just as likely to come from scum as it is from a townie. Whether or not he can prove this ability is rather irrelevant to me. While this is certainly an exaggeration, it's as if he claimed "Check this out, I'm a vig with the ability to make my kills look like they came from the mafia" and we're all "Ooooo, he's right...therewasa mafia-looking kill last night."
On top of this, if Coron is a townie, then we're losing a relatively unhelpful role by lynching him...if we continue to investigate around and find someone else to lynch today, we're likely to out a power role we don't want outed.
In short, I'm happy with my vote on Coron.
