Are polarities set at the start, or can they be toggled at day/night?

I was thinking set at the start, with the exception of the vig. Everybody being able to switch polarities would add a degree of swing I doubt I could compensate for, especially since both scum teams would be locked in their polarity. It's easier for me to figure out balance with set polarities and a polarity switching vig. This does mean that it would have an odd number of players.

Fair enough, but I think you could make it work like that.

Perhaps, if you went with the toggled polarity, the scum could have a 2-shot polarity lock and the ability for each person (or the team as a whole) change their polarity when they use it?

That's something that should be discussed/decided later. I was just seeing if there was interest in the idea. I'm working on planning a Mini Theme game and another Large Theme as well.

This game was definitely fun, and the scum teams did a good job of hiding while town clawed each others' eyes out.

Hey Bulba, pre-/in to that pls. Don't even care if it's a large game anymore.

I think as long as I stick with one game I'm fine.

I have one complaint about the setup, but I only realized it once it was too late. Two mislynches should never be a town loss, but if we had lynched Voided on the day that we lynched zdenek, town would have still lost. We could not lynch light scum, or we would lose. I think that this is an OK situation to be in after three mislynches (its the town's own fault), but for two it is too much of a penalty.

Another fault with the setup is that scum have an incentive NOT to crosskill (only the team with larger numbers will be successful, but team with more scum wants to kill town), so this is like a 6p scumteam with two kills (obv bad). I would say a solution is to make it so that the scumteam that is behind can crosskill, rather than the one that is ahead (which I had thought at first BTW), but this might put scum in the situation where they want to bus to give them power. That's actually an interesting idea (sacrifice 1 scum: kill bypasses all protections).

Or rather, that is not another fault. It is the fault that caused us to reach the point where we had to depend on PRs to win after only two mislynches. A 6p mafia with 2 kills is too powerful.

Let the prenumbral doc protect against the light/dark kills, even if one side has the numbers.
Yeah, I think I agree with this.

Not that I'm great at balance-type things, but still.

Actually come to think of it you could probably take out all PRs but the Doc, give the Doc ^that, and it would probably be even better.

Negating strongman for the doc results in follow-the-pr.

I like the idea of reversing the strongman ability though

Not really as badly as all that. It's not like there wouldn't be other explanations for a kill not working (the Scum protections or a no-kill, for instance). Also Doc is no Cop.

PR claims, doc stays on them, scum forced to doc hunt before they can touch PRs. Not a fan.

Shadowscum would've had to do this with Pasch, though, had we not gotten lucky with killing PV. Granted, not from the get-go, but.

Was my survival till d5 (let's face it, that's the day my fate was sealed) a product of town's inability to actually get me lynched? Or was i good enough to avoid it until there was just too much on me and too many people against me?

Pie, did you really think i was town like I thought with you?

Both Fate and I were on you on D3, but not enough others wanted to join that wagon. I personally think that the Koala push on D3 saved you long enough for the town to be unable to lynch Light.

I called P5 being the doc. Sadly I was not right about FTL not being a PR (seriously that was dumb).

voided: I actually thought you were town, yeah >__>

I think your fate was sealed like D2 as much as you don't wanna accept that the cases on you were legit. I feel like I had to do a lot of diffusing and redirecting onto TD and Pie for you, I was kinda nervous about it because I felt like I was abandoning any general consistency in my reads by not voting you. But people town read me all the way to D5 so it worked out.

fate ily but if you're playing the "you're scum but I'm never saying why" style it's understandable that people would think you only had a lucky guess.

also that post just reads as "trololol" and you're better than that.

We honestly thought Voided was town too. The cases on him were stupid, even the ones I made up, all the way until the end. I'm not entirely sure what he did wrong up until the post nhammen pointed out.
