for ascetic there's negligible to no neg utility for scum and a lot of neg utility for town

I've only seen ascetic once before and they didn't claim.

1) were they town?

if not, i'm guessing they were a newb who never saw the role before and didn't know what to do.

you had several options:
> you could have straight up claimed the ascetic
> you could've dropped subtle crumbs
> you could've just vaguely said "don't target me" and just left it at that.
> fuck, you could've gambited and claimed pgo

there's things you could've done, but you made no effort to be proactive and get town pr's to not target you. you played your role to maximum scum utility AND the kicker is that you knew it was stepping on town's toes but didn't do anything about it.


now you're selling the "oh well look the mod made TOWN all these things" but i'm not buying. it's too late for that and these are all reactive responses to getting caught out by flubber's track.

we DID get flubber's results. it was a "no result" on persivul.

A "No Result" on persivul does not equal a need to claim, homie.

in this case, yeah it kinda does.

for there to be no result:
flubber got roleblocked and killed in the same night (not likely)
pers had to have gotten rolestopped (pretty scummy)
pers is an ascetic

why wouldn't pers, as scum, go ahead and fess up to the ascetic?

Has it occurred to anyone that, regarding the no result, as scum I could have simply said I don't know, maybe there was a redirect. Instead, I'm being honest about my role choices. I didn't know ascetic should claim immediately (I checked the wiki and it didn't say to), but when confronted I was honest about it despite their being an easy alternative explanation.

Consider:
- A town has flipped with a commuter choice. Lane is also claiming commuter and no one finds that suspicious.
- I'm ascetic, and similarly we've had a town flip with the same choices as mine.
- hiplop didn't go into detail but also said in 1244 that duplicate roles make sense to him.

I'm being pushed for being a town ascetic, when everything we know about the setup so far supports me in that claim.
