I thought that MS' "BTOOM" thing was a dayvig of sorts. Was wondering how Ascetic relates to the % mechanic, since according to OP there are no standard kills.

Does Ascetic mean "nothing affects it apart from moves increasing %" or does it mean "everything" since there are no standard kills?

Obviously you have a killing role, that much is clear. I thought when he said "everything" that he was saying anyone who targets him he learns about that person or something. Mario can you clear this up please?

Um, no? I'm not a killing role. I just thought from the whole opening post regarding % that it was the main killing method in this rather than kills, and I was interested in how ascetic affected that. Testing the validity of Mario's claim, to an extent.

That last quote is pretty clearly contradictory with the others, but IMO it reads like Lickety's trying to get noticed contradicting himself. If we lynch him and he's a jester, would that end the game? If so, I'd rather that people with percentage abilities pseudo-vig him.

I don't buy this. Davsto has been around long enough that I'm pretty sure he's seen townies vote without asking questions. It reads like he's trying to capitalize on smiffle for not following the hypothetical Big Book of Rules For Good Little Townies. Combine that with the fact that Davsto didn't prod or poke smiffle before voting him (or even during or after, for that matter!) and I really have a hard time thinking that this is something Davsto honestly believes.

As far as Dav is concerned, I agree to a large extent, but I will say that the thread was moving at a pretty good clip and that may have influenced things a little. So far I think Dav's tone feels townie, but like your case says, it doesn't look that way.

% is damage. Sounds like 2% for death (ie everyone is 1-shot bp). I think this is a way of including a lot of killing roles without making the game ridiculous. I'm expecting scum can still one shot with their NK, though.

To clarify the % mechanics, when someone who has % gains % they die.

% does not equal 1%. % equals high damage. When someone who has high damage is hit, they are KO'd.

for example, say Player A has X ability that inflicts %. They use it on player B. Now player B is at % (they took damage from the ability)

The next night, player A uses the ability on them again. Since they already have %, they are KO'd (they have enough 'damage' where the ability that inflicts % would kill them.)
