HD: is there a discussion thread on this set-up? I mean, it might be fun if you can find some way to give scum an edge. I don't know, maybe a shooter can't post after they shoot until role reveal, then give scum a 1x redirect or something. definitely hard to handle as scum. I thought we did pretty well for what its worth.

I have been in a lecturey mood of late mebbe its cos I have finally reached a state of frustration and I am explaining more of my thought processes that come from a lot of experience, which ironically is something I said I would not be doing. but oh well.

this is the 44th time I have rolled scum. did you read that? I have rolled 44 TIMES!!! IT'S TRUE!!! I have played in an embarrassing amount of games, just not on this site.

nacho has never really seen my scum game. we met at a time when I was seriously burned out as scum. like seriously burned out. on the sites I play on random distribution is a rarity and for a while gm's were making me scum all the time cos I can be really awesome at it when I want to and my town games were really starting to suffer.

I haven't been motivated to play a good scum game in a very long time. playing scum takes an enormous amount of effort for me and it burns people in a way that lingers forever and my town games suffer for it cos people will stay in an intense state of paranoia about me for like, ever and that always sucks.

nacho has been negging on my scum game of late so I wanted to pay him back, lol. I was going to go all the way with nacho too, I was going to use every bit of meta I had on him (and it is a considerable amount) against him and manipulate the fuck out of him. syrlacious may have caught on but I was going to try to tie him up and distract him with flirting. most people get mad when you mindfuck them to that extent but I think nacho can take it and would probably only love me more for it.

when I saw don's post where he listed his entire team I lost all motivation. all of it. very few people know how to bus in an elegant manner and his was awkward, clumsily placed and ill timed. I already had my hands full with mara who was pretty much declaring we were scum at the top of her lungs (I love you mara!). it was a direct trail that implicated his entire team. that is the kind of gold I look for in games cos most players won't do it you can shake out an entire scum team in 1 day. I love it when players do it cos it is an easy path to victory I mean it is like lynch lynch lynch boom! I specifically said in the qt, "hey let's not bus unless we have to." and then in his next post he lists his entire team I mean jesus christ I don't think I am the one being unreasonable here. if my teammate asks me to do or not to do something I generally do it cos it is the considerate thing to do. KX guy was in the game like 2 minutes and picked up on that is what he did. any player worth their salt should have spotted it, I get why you didn't wisdom, cos you said you don't look for things like that. well now you know that nacho does!

anyways I am not mad at don I am just really really frustrated cos I sooooooo was looking forward to playing scum with borky and mindfucking nacho. I am probably going to go back to just not caring again and be lazy it is more fun and less frustrating.

bussing is way overrated. for every bus you have to guarantee 2 mislynches. don could not guarantee that at that point in the game he did the very opposite of creating distance what he did was throw one helluva associative tell that linked all 3 members of his team.

anyways I am done ranting and I want to just say thanks for the game hd it was well run.

I agree that he could have done it better, but I don't agree that bussing was not a good tactic. Scum cannot win if they don't become obvtown in this setup. And I don't think that anyone would pick up that DJ is listing ALL of his scumreads for that purpose. Some of them maybe, but not all. You say that KX picked it up, but he was less sure when I told him that I don't find it likely. You say that Nacho does, but he didn't shoot you after he shot DJ, did he?
So no. I think that you're being unfair here. They discussed it in the QT and agreed that bussing is good. I didn't see you seeing anything about it (probably you werent around) but they did discuss it.
In any case, abandoning the game the way you did and going "I dont care about this game, good luck" is bad, no matter what a scumbuddy did. I also have this problem when I am scum, I think that town will realize everything and that I am doomed, but most of the times I am wrong. You're more experienced and you should know that; no matter how obvious something is, town is not guaranteed to pick it up. Keep going and don't do that to your team.

Actually, you're saying you found it unlikely didn't convince me otherwise at all, mainly because I wasn't that convinced by it in the first place, though it did help. However, what it was, especially considering the manner in which DJ did it, was a flashing red sign pointing to investigate them more. If he had bussed more elegantly, that I would be more inclined to agree with Wisdom, however, the way DJ did it made it so them all being scum seemed more likely.
