That last day was a bit frenetic and touch-and-go, but we brought exactly the right people with us to LyLo.

Figured going in that DRey was going to be our wincon, but I was thinking he was the most likely mislynch, rather than the one that'd hand it to us.

Plan A was to lynch a Townie. Conventional, but it worked out in the end.
Plan B was to set one of us up as confirmed Town and have them be PoE'd to victory, with Zeek's continued survival as mislynch fodder/explanation for why scum hadn't killed the obvTown.
Plan C evolved during the day, when people started making connections between Furcolow and I, and that involved active framing of Furc as my buddy, letting me be lynched and bringing him with me.

As to the early kills, we were actively hunting the other scumteam and the Serial Killer. We knew right away from our own numbers that there was a second team, and suspected the possibility of a SK/Vig, though the presence of both surprised me. We did a damn good job hunting down and eliminating the Red Pirates, and our early kills were aimed toward that end. Then we set to hunting the Serial Killer, which we did pretty well too.

Then we started hunting the Vig, though that took a long time and the eventual reveal of it was a surprise. Use of our Tracker and the various claims was essential to this. We knew everyone else was Town, so MoI, Zeek, Snake, and any other claims were gospel truth to us, and we were able to eliminate ourselves of course. Tracker provided us with most of the rest for a very effective PoE. I was absolutely convinced that it was Kondi, because of several comments he'd made, such as him being absolutely convinced that the throat-slitter was not the Vig.

With the other scumteam, the SK, and the Vig eliminated, we settled into a conventional game, which was the goal all along. ThAd, Haylen and I are all very strong scum players, so we knew if we could get rid of the wild cards, we'd kick some ass.

Oh, and DRey or whomever it was hit the nail on the head - I intentionally waited to be the very last to post on Day One so I could guarantee that my Miller fakeclaim wouldn't be countered.

I actually do forget to bookmark new threads from time to time, so that would be a bogus scumtell against me in the future.

That drunk post was real, I was totally plastered when I made that but there was some (muddled) thought process about it. It was stupidly risky too.

Also, I've decided the whole playing badly as VT isn't doing me any favours because it means when I know I have to claim VT as scum, I have to play terribly too and it can put me in some hot water - plus it makes me look a total idiot which I'm certainly not.

Obviously knew Pine was scum, with with the way Pine was interacting with Furcolow for days, along with Furc's claim, and all the circumstances...to me, it was supposed to be just a question of whether ThAd or Haylen was Pine's last partner; both showed symptoms, with me heavily leaning towards Haylen by the end. Never woulda guessed both of 'em.

*I* wasn't obv-scum myself; I *REPLACED* obv-scum. Big difference. I was using every single towntell I could think of, exploiting my meta to no end, trying my hardest to fight back despite the odds and knowing I was pretty much absolutely screwed from the get-go. I was playing no differently than as if I were a town vig with a little extra info, pretty much. And there's more to "best performance in a losing cause" than having been good; it's also the amount of effort (DO YOU REALIZE HOW MUCH WORK I WENT THROUGH TO GET A FAKECLAIM?!? Really, my fakeclaim was Aquaman, NOT Batman. I HAD TO BS ALL THAT FLAVOR FROM SCRATCH), the level of determination, the stubbornness, the refusal to give up, and the fight which is important. Keep in mind that I wasn't trying to scumhunt. My scumhunting was meant as a "screw you!" to the Marvels who were lynching me. I was trying to survive, and I did literally everything I could think of. Every trick I had up my book was used, breaking pretty much every single towntell I knew of, and dipping into things which mighta been scumtells out of desperation. (Ironically enough, I think that's what caused my end--Nacho's one of the only players in this game who'd recognize defending myself outside of lylo as being a scumtell, and I strongly suspect that was the tell which made him hammer me.) If I were pro-town, I never woulda brought it up, since if I were town, then having good reads WOULD be part of the award. Since I was scum, the focus wasn't on my reads, but on the effort I went through to try and survive. (Really, what would YOU do if you replaced into an obv-scum slot, as the last member of your team, as the lead wagon, when your scumbuddy had used YOUR fakeclaim without leaving YOU with the details of HIS? All you can do is give your hardest fight and try to survive as long as you can. Which I did to the best of my ability. You could have put pretty much any scummer into my slot and I don't think they could have pulled it off. Didn't stop me from trying, though.)

Butyeah. In any other slot, you woulda been forced to NK me. You pretty much said it in-thread. I was catching up (I totally lied about having been caught up, since I knew that "I'm still catching up!" would get me speedlynched, and if I gave the ILLUSION of having been caught up and that I was speaking sense, it'd increase my chances of living), I was forming reads, and I was actually seriously doubting both MoI and Zeek were scum. (Again, that's one of the main differences between the town-me and the scum-me in that scenario--as scum, I continued pushing MoI and Zeek even after I was pretty sure MoI was town and was reconsidering my Zeek-scum stance. As town, even though backtracking was probably suicide, I'd admit that I was second-guessing myself.) Had I gotten the chance to actually catch up, had I gotten the chance to form reads, and (most importantly of all) had I been around long enough to see replacements' playstyles, I woulda done a lot better.

Granted, I'd still only have one day to live. (You'd have NK'd me almost immediately.) Granted, I wouldn't have gotten things immediately. (Pidgey and syndrome both caught my eyes, along with Furcolow, obviously.) But had I lived to see Hayl's posting (which I KNEW were playing to her scum meta), and had I let my ThAd suspicion continue to grow (it's something I had seen), well, then, it woulda been a different game.

Again, there were, what? Three, four slots open when I replaced in? Any. other. slot. And I would have not had to focus on defense. Any. other. slot. And I wouldn't have had to worry about self-preservation. Any. other. slot.

But nope!

Replaced obv-scum. Without a viable fakeclaim. As the lead wagon. With both my scumbuddies long-since dead. With both of them having strong ties to my slot, and my slot to them. That was not my choice.

People came in and essentially gave me an ultimatum: "Stop lurking, post content, or die."

I was still reading, trying my best to create content, and not to die.

People set a short deadline on it, when I simply needed more time to get my act together. I had not the time I needed, essentially. There were basically five or so things I was being asked to do, and I pretty much only had the time for one or two.

I was backed into a corner, essentially. The wallposts and spamming never woulda happened if I hadn't been pressured immediately after having replaced in. Shortened deadline, constant threat of death, a necessity to post things before they were ready...it really was basically, "Post or Die." And I had to post what little I had, despite knowing I wasn't even close to ready, despite having not finished anything I needed to do, despite me having cut tons of corners to get as far as I did. Simply put, I had no opportunity to get a plan together, and was forced to make it up as I was going along.

All things considered, it's amazing I was as calm as I was, Pine. What would YOU do if you were at L-1, had absolutely zero content, was not caught up, had no fakeclaim, and had a person threatening to hammer you in less than six hours? When they specifically say that "give me more time?" wouldn't stop them? Yeah, you'd not keep calm, either.
