Don't go mass claims especially when its a closed setup. Its just a bad idea and leads to more headaches while leaving the town worse of 99% of the time. And its probably a bad idea to be trying to decipher GS;s role claims, they could mean a variety of different things and the fact that he just keeps claiming is not helping. I say we need more pressure! The real conflict of ideas here is GS is most likely scum or a power role (he could be a townie but hed be the worst townie ever) and hes not responding to any comments. We need more pressure! because we can't lynch someone without having a really certain idea if that person is scum, like if GS turns out to be a jester, I'm not going to be happy. Perhaps he will crack, more pressure and votes are needed to gather more information!

I could put a fourth vote on GS, but I think we're barking up the wrong tree here. I'm really leaning towards Either Ryan or Sensfan or both. I'm going to do a read through and see what I can find. In the mean time in case I haven't already done so, I'm removing my random vote since we're in serious mdoe here.

Plus GS has been claiming mostly power roles, it seems unlikely there'd be so many in such a small game.

To be fair - he's not actually suggesting a mass claim. Although I can see what you mean - if his theory had been confirmed all the roles would be known... Sort of a pseudo-massclaim if you will.

I think the overall consensus is for no massclaim. but I'm putting scummy points on anyone who supported it - especially rosso. He sounds a bit like a scum eager to use his safeclaim.

But - he did claim bartender, which was what I asked him to claim if he had to post in claims. He did not include the ability I suggested, so I'm still not sure what's going on.

Back to finding something out about GS:

Well, I'm not sure how Lloyd came by his list of suggested roles (in associating them to certain players) only a few of the ones he suggested were cases where GS posted the claim immediately following that person's post. But in response I will say that none of the ones he posted resembles my role, so I don't think you're onto anything Lloyd.

Lastly, after re-reading the initial posts I'll list the top of my Scum-o-meter:

I did think Ryan was more suspicious for awhile, but IMO his scummy-ness is tied into GS. If GS turns up scum, Ryan's going down (trying to instill fear of the jester in the town), but again I think the GS thing just isn't happening, so:

Ryan and GS: 45%
aioqwe: 40%

Basically, assuming Sensfan and Ryan are not both scum (and I'm not ruling that out) I think it unlikely that a pair of townies would launch into such heated arguments when they both based many of their motives on less than solid assumptions.

You're right. I waited 6 whole posts and almost 2 hours to post my explanation. Then I gave a perfectly satisfactory reasoning for why I delayed a short while.

That's true, but not before several other people came out with the same reason to suspect Ryan. Why not just come right out with it? Like I said, until the last few pages I was really eyeing Ryan, like everyone else has been, but now that GS is looking less like scum, the whole reason for suspecting Ryan is loosing crediblity with me, and seeing as how you've been pushing so hard on him, it looks to me like you've begun you're attack on him using a very convenient reason (even more convenient because you waited for someone else to suggest it).

The only time I have talked to/about ryan since Sunday is when he not only appeared not to read the context of a quote, but then randomly accused me of being scum for no real reason, while STILL not going back to read. Even then, I only pointed out what what previously posted, not attacking ryan at all.

What good would a mass claim do if we don't know the setup? It is just a really bad idea, I'm sorry; It is very very unlikely the town will be better off. If our speculation is correct about GS and he is claiming to give information, there seem to be a good deal of power roles which means that both sides have alot of firepower and it becomes next to useless to roleclaim. Why are you so bent on claiming? If you want to claim that's up to you, but what danger is the town in exactly? I can't support a mass claim unless there are dire circumstances considering its a closed setup, I don't know who would.
