Goddamnit, the items always go up for grabs at ~4am. Why you be hatin' on UK players, Director?
Anyways, SPS is the choice for me today. Reasons in many previous posts.I'm a townie! Honest!

Clarification requested, although I do believe it is entirely logical that being roleblocked at night would not affewct the use of a daytime ability, since this is how normal mafia would work.nhammen wrote:@dizzy just because your ability is used during the day does not mean that it wont be affected by a roleblocker. I know by experience. I've been lynched more than once for being the only one in the town who suspected someone who exhibited obvious scumtells. Then after I was lynched, the town (and scum) mislynched my main attacker, and it turned out that the scumgroup was the guy who I said it was.Amished wrote:

I don't get SPS. His D1 attack on bob had me partially convinced that bob is scum. But then on D2 he focuses all of his attentions on this Amished gut read of Glork's and sticks with it when the majority of the town disagrees. I just don't get it. I'd like an explanation for this switch SPS.-

Haha sweet, I got the Molotov! And it has a confirmable ability. If I throw the Molotov cocktail, I create a distraction wiping out all the votes on a player of my choice (and making him unlynchable for the day). I can't use it Today, but I can confirm myself tomorrow.
In your face, scumbags.
I believe you're the first person to agree with me on that. I'm still suspicious of bob (as I mentioned previously), just more suspicious of Amished (and I only have one vote). Most people disagree with me on Amished, sure, but going after bob doesn't help in that department.nhammen wrote:I don't get SPS. His D1 attack on bob had me partially convinced that bob is scum. During my reread I consistently found bob and DocPotter (who was later replaced by ReaperCharlie) to be very scummy throughout Day 1. However, at the end of Day 1, bob argued very strongly for people to stop wagon hopping. He tried very hard to secure that lynch at the end of Day 1. I just don't see scum doing this. But everything else he has done has seemed scummy. And Doc disappeared. His replacement seems somewhat townie. If Doc was still around, I'd vote him. But I have no scum tells from his replacement, and asking a replacement to explain the predecessor's behavior is not going to produce anything productive. But Doc was so scummy it hurts. Hmmm...-

Wait a second. bob ended up being the second wagon! He would obviously be trying to get the jmj wagon back on track. I don't know where my thoughts came from.
Here are the relevant quotes for the Day 1 bob case:
Didn't notice this on my first reread.Starbuck wrote:
This sounds like a slip here.almightybob wrote:Frankly, I would be happy to lynch bv just in case he got the guns, so that they will return to the Town since he won't get an opportunity to use them.
How are you 100% sure that bv is town?
Agree. Nice catch SPS.Steam-Powered Shovel wrote:
But then he still wouldn't get to use the item, which is what you said. If that was your understanding of the set-up, why didn't you say "before he gets to destroy them"?almightybob wrote:I don't think he's Town. I think he's scum.
My understanding is that scum will be able to destroy the item at Night. Therefore if we lynched the winning scum during the day, they would not have opportunity to destroy it and the item would revert to Town.
I don't buy it. Your excuse is lame (why would destroying an item be a night action?) and inconsistent with the previous post.Unvote, vote: almightybob
Wow! After posting that first quoted comment, you defended yourself with the second comment. You were saying that the first comment was talking about you destroying the items. Now you are saying that is not what that comment was about at all. You have just given two mutually exclusive explanations for one post. One of those was aalmightybob wrote:
Because that sentence was meant in the hypothetical situation that bv is Town. Reading it again now, I realise I may not have conveyed that very clearly.Steam-Powered Shovel wrote:But then he still wouldn't get to use the item, which is what you said. As I was writing it I was thinking to myself "What if bv IS Town and he has the guns now? Do I trust Town-bv to do more good than harm with them?". The answer is no.LIE.
I haven't finished my reread (too lazy) but A) the way SPS attacks bob looks protown to me and B) bob's defense looks like crap and C) bob is still in this game.

I am willing to change wagons if necessary though.-

The mod has confirmed that it is a day action for the purpose of roleblocking, so the only chance of my being roleblocked would be if scum has a day ability to roleblock.DizzyIzzyB13 wrote:

It's pretty goddamn convenient that the two people I most suspect both justSteam-Powered Shovel wrote:Haha sweet, I got the Molotov! And it has a confirmable ability. And that makes very little flavour sense. A molotov wipes out common infected and makes it easier to kill Special Infected. It does not render Survivors unattackable (CEDA Agents and Special Infected can still attack). Plus in the game, it is an instant-use ability. There's no flavour reason, and no Mafia reason, for it to be restricted to the next Day.
Was it my actions themselves, or SPS's attacks on my actions, that you found scummy?nhammen wrote:During my reread I consistently found bob and DocPotter (who was later replaced by ReaperCharlie) to be very scummy throughout Day 1.

Gah, sniped.
Back on this, are we? Sigh.
The first quote is from a large post, which I edited and reworded several times while I was writing it. Inevitably, sometimes a mistake will be made and a word change will not make sense. I thought I had made it clear that it was a fairly light-hearted addendum to the main meat of my post. The intended meaning was something like this:
There's nothing mutually exclusive about what I wrote - just a confused line of thought caused by re-editing a post several times while writing it.What I wanted to convey wrote:We should lynch bv because I think he's scum, and we could get the guns back before he destroys them.
(Even if BV is Town, we should kill him to spare us the damage he would do to Town! Lol amirite?)
Oh and my previous post made me realise there's little to no flavour reason for the Pills to be a delayed action. Why can't you use them straight away to make someone harder to lynch Izzy?I'm a townie! Honest!

Actually, it seems more likely to me that you saw that people backed off on Izzy, so you chose to copy that part of her claim in the hope people would do the same with you.I'm a townie! Honest!

You and Dizzy both have claimed to have gotten an item when you both are dangerously close to being lynched. You both have claimed to have delayed actions, and asking us to not lynch y'all today. You both are putting strong hope into surviving the night. SPS, your item claim doesn't make sense flavor wise, because in-game, the horde isn't distracted by a Molotov. Also, bob, while the pills may be an instant use item, many players save them until they are almost dead, then use them to give themselves that extra health to hold them until they find the safe room or a medkit, so I can see the pills as a delayed action.Looking for experienced designers to help me design, a sequel to my Nintendo Mafia game!SONY MAFIA

With respect to nhammen's attack on almightybob, I'm not convinced that it's damning, but almightybob's reaction reeks of coverup.FOS: almightybob.
I still think SPS is town. There's been a lot of apathy in this game from a lot of players, myself included. I don't think his use of Glrok as a crutch is a scum tell. Sort of baffled that he's on the verge of being lynched since I don't find his wagon scum-driven.-

At the 2nd mostly D1, because after D1, I got kinda tired, so my reread isn't quite thorough... Replacing into long games is not fun... Would not do again. Or, rather, I would do it and refuse to reread.
I can also see bv scum. His behavior on D1. Grabbing for other items after the first. Waiting to use his item. All scummy.-

I'm not exactly enamoured with the molotov-flavour-ability myself, but I'm fairly sure that just stems from the "too many items are weapons"-problem.
Jmj, if I get nked, that will still have saved the town a mislynch. I'm not too worried about that happening because it's not exactly a bad thing. (And the molotov would just re-enter circulation.)The great advantage of the tiger in unarmed combat is that he eats not only the raspberry-laden foe but also the raspberries.-
