No real reason. Just saw the name used when perusing the site's archives.

This is gonna be a cult flip. Then ML is gonna be another cult flip.
Let's just clean this up here.

we have 2 (albeit differently named) red flips, 5 red would be a lot for a game this size when there's also a cult.

Kieran Russell dropped in the gallows. He struggled slightly before passing on.

The hangings had started later than usual today. A panic quickly came over the villagers as they realized that the night was very near. Everyone turned to run back to their houses. Not everyone made it back.

Flynn Stevenson collapsed as he ran. He seemed to be in quite a lot of pain, but nothing had provoked it. Lara Grey stopped to help the suffering man. It seemed to her that every bone in his body was breaking as he yelled. Flynn leaned over as he began to change.

The change had become quicker than when it first started. Flynn had become used to the pain that accompanied the transformation, and accepted what was about to happen. He looked up before the change had completed to see a look of terror in Lara’s eyes as she rose to her feet and turned away. It didn’t matter how fast she ran, Flynn, or the beast that was once Flynn, would soon catch her and take her life.

In PG terms: That’s exactly what happened.

Magister Ludi - Lara Grey - Villager - Killed Night Six

Two other wolves quickly joined Flynn in the center of the town.

The next morning, they were the only three still alive. No communication was made with the island after this incident. It simply disappeared from existence.

Fin.

Setup information, night actions, etc.

Basic Setup (19):

9 Villagers (VT)
1 Seer/Cop
1 Witch - One shot kill, one shot protect.
1 Diseased - If killed at night, Wolves cannot kill the following night.
1 Hunter - Vengeful, essentially. Also works when nightkilled.

4 Wolves
1 Cursed - Traitor equivalent. Joins the wolves on a nightkill. Seen as a villager before recruitment.

1 MODIFIED Cult Leader -
  • Wins if all living players are part of the cult, regardless of the leader being alive.
  • However, different from other cults, the cult members are not informed of being part of the cult, and their alignment does not change.
  • The only player that can win with the cult is the cult leader himself. A private tally is kept of the members of the cult, and if there is a point where every living player is part of the cult, the game is over with a cult leader victory. If one of the other factions completes a win condition prior to this happening, the game stops with a cult loss. Any ties go against the Cult Leader.
  • Seen as a villager to a seer. Recruits are also seen as villagers (because...they are!)
  • Night Zero head-start (2 recruits).

Night One
Wolves kill zMuffinMan [Success, Diseased N2]
Oman Recruits zMuffinMan [Success-ish; Oman, Prozac, Fonz in cult]
Prozac uses Protect on Darox [Success, no effect]
Darox uses Investigate on Lowell [Success, Villager result]

Night Two

Wolves kill No One [Diseased]
Oman Recruits xRECKONERx
Prozac uses Kill on Kiwieagle [Success]
Darox uses Investigate on The Fonz [Success, Villager]

Night Three

Darox uses Investigate on evilpacman18 [Success, Villager]
Oman uses Recruit on Darox [Success]
Wolves kill Darox [Success]

Night Four and onward: Only wolves kills. You can probably figure these out.

I will release quicktopics tomorrow morning with any comments I feel like adding regarding the game. Dead players are welcome to rejoin the thread now if they choose to.

Any comments towards my modding or the setup itself are welcome (and encouraged, gotta improve somehow). I enjoyed having you lot in my game, so thanks for playing.

Well, town got basically the optimal result from its power-roles, and still lost, I'm kind of bummed right now. Its not often I lose without realizing its LYLO.

Plus, that cult recruiter flip was such a monkey wrench its not even funny.

1. Empking explained his reasoning, his reasoning was just simplistic.
2. Pooky is pretty meh. He always votes without reasons. That said, he would have been my no1 suspect day five had I lived, for other reasons.
3. You know those last two days? When town players were quicklynched without any reasoning from anyone? While you were alive and didn't do anything to slow the game down or do any analysis? Yeah, what the fuck was up with that?

_____________________________________________
Setup comments:

1) Five scum in 16 is overpowered to start with, even without the cult. Town should have had a lot of strong PRs to counteract that. Cop and a couple limited-shot things is not nearly enough. Should have had at least cop + doc.
2) This cult was insane. Town had no way to know there was a cult until they flipped the recruiter, and no way to know who was a recruit, ever. This meant that if the town DID flip the recruiter, they were likely to decapitate one another. There was a werewolves of miller's hollow game about a year ago, and that had a similar method, but town players who were recruited were told they were recruited, and told who else was recruited as well. I could have lived with this if the cult ended when the recruiter died, and this was made clear. I could have lived with it if recruits were made aware. What you actually did was always going to end in a clusterfuck.

Meh, andrew probably needed to die one way or the other. There was an outside chance of being mafia or cult (or so I thought), and I didn't particularly want him around at lylo based on his play and play this game (little did I realize Lylo was the next day).

And the next day was Lylo and no one realized, and scum quicklynched out of nowhere, plus I was voting for scum. I thought my reads were pretty good after getting andrew out of the way, having empking and dramonic as a team (I guess I didn't think of pooky yet, but that was many days down the track).

~~~~
I agree almost 100% on the cult thoughts.
Dramonic tbh reminded me very much of his play in Mafia in Mendo, when he completely went off on one pushing a case that no-one else believed in based on really shoddy logic (though the player turned out to be scum).
