I am at lynch -2 right now. I've decided to claim again, since I don't currently have the votes to orchestrate a non-me lynch. I've been trying to scum hunt. Trying to give a plausible reason to lynch someone other than Chaos_Omega.

Anything. But no, alas, it hasn't worked. Because C_O was too scummy. The thing is, you guys weren't wrong. I wasn't wrong to want him dead yesterday. He was scummy because he was scum. He claimed to target me last night because he did. Bastard.

If you lynch me, you have 7 alive tomorrow, and either 2 or 3 mafia, not at all a good place to be in.

If you don't lynch me, I will:

• continue to try and scumhunt, as I've been doing.
  
• Either kill whomever the town wants me to, or no kill, to make sure I am still in your good graces tomorrow.
  
• Possibly draw the scum NK. I may or may not be NK immune. Suck on that, scum.

Basically, I am an vigilante that you have complete control over but that you have to eventually lynch in order to win.

This game was balanced, in my view, to be about equal for all three factions, scum, SK, town. The town lost two investigative roles, and can't have much left.

It is probably like (1 power role, 4 townies, 3 mafia, 1 SK) right now.

If you want to lynch the SK, and ahve 3 mafia, 3 townies, 1 power role tomorrow, be my guest.

But I think it is better for me and for the town for us to try and lynch scum.

Seriously, optimal play here is not to lynch me.

It benefits me to claim, because we may end up in a 1-1-1 scenario, in which we no-lynch, and in which I may or may not be unNKable. Anything is better for me than being lynched today.

I really do find Matt_S, Adel, Oman scummy. I want scum dead almost just as much as you guys do. Please, don't lynch me.

Assuming we have 3 mafia, and if Guardian is telling the truth, the split would 5/1/3 (townies/SK/mafia):

Lynch elsewhere

Best case: lynch scum, putting us at 5/1/2. If Guardian hits scum we'll probably be at 4/1/1 tomorrow, which isn't bad. If he hits town we're at 3/1/2, which is probable LyLo.

Worst case: lynch town, putting us at 4/1/3. If Guardian hits scum we'll probably be at 3/1/2 tomorrow, which is probable LyLo. If he hits town we're at 2/1/3, which is instant lose.

We go to 5/0/3. Nightkill probably makes it 4/0/3, which is LyLo.

Of course, there's always the (strong) possibility that Guardian is actually lying mafia. I don't see a convincing reason in those numbers to keep him alive.

Wow, that's interesting. I'm glad I wasn't wrong in my ChaosOmega suspicions, one way or the other. I'm happy with a Guardian lynch now -- the risk of lynching town is gone there. If he is an SK, then I don't trust the whole, "keep me alive and I'll act as a vig" thing anyway. I'll explain why in more detail if necessary, but I imagine people can work out for themselves why that's a very slippery path to take.

I'll hold off putting him at lynch-1 just to allow everyone to weigh in on this, but I won't be supporting any other lynch today. Spirit vote.

I legitimately think it is not optimal play to lynch me here.

Guardian^1 is rooting for you to lynch mafia, not Guardian^2^SK.

Not lynching me lets me be NK'd or have the scum waste a NK, and gives you another chance to lynch scum. Lynch me and you'll likely be at lylo tomorrow, and have to lynch scum 3 days straight to pull it out.

If Guardian is telling the truth, I feel like there's a part of me that actually wants to keep him alive at least for another day especially in light of the best case scenario presented above by Erg0 if we assume a three-player mafia set-up. I mean, if I was in a similar situation where I was NK-ed as an initially town-aligned player and then allowed to replace in as a third party killing role, I'd feel more obligated to help out my original faction than my new faction especially considering the poor amount of effort put into this game by Chaos_Omega. I don't know if Guardian is the same way or if he's even telling the truth, but I'm just throwing that thought out there.

Actually, now that I think about it, Guardian, if you're truly the Serial Killer, why did you lie from the start? Why didn't you just enter the game and claim Serial Killer instead of continuing to try and deceive us with Chaos_Omega's false cop-claim if you truly wanted to place the town's best intentions ahead of your own?

Even if we assume for a second that he's definitely an SK, it's extremely risky to keep him alive. He has an anti town win condition, so we know that anything he's saying is to help keep himself alive. If there comes a situation where it's in his best interests to go against our wishes, he'll do it without hesitation, and that kind of situation could easily arise (where we couldn't lynch him because we'd immediately lose to the mafia).

But really, I see no reason to assume he's telling the truth anyway. I was leaning towards voting him even with the cop claim, all his new claim has done is removed any possibility that he's protown, making it a more solid lynch. I don't see how claiming SK has made it anymore likely that he actually is an SK, can you explain to why you think so? I think it's likely Guardian is mafia.
