I've heard malagos miracle, but that just seems way too slow.

how is it being used? its 9 mana, best is see is malagos prep sinister prep sinister for 16, and on turn 9. that seems really restrictive

Headcrack is something I've seen seriously discussed because w/ Malygos out it becomes 6 dmg to the face for 2 mana every turn. Repeatable. Like Hunter power on steroids.

that makes sense, but how do you protect malagos from hard removal? if you save your conceal, you open up your auctioneers to hard removal and it kills your momentum

Well, you can double conceal, I guess.

I'd probably take 2x blade flurry and 2x fan of knives and still go leeroy over two turns.

Headcrack isn't 2 mana 1 damage it's 3 mana 2 damage - so with malygos it's 3 mana 7 damage repeatable.

And also I dislike the whole "but wut ab removal" thing because that's going to be a thing no matter what with any card unless it has charge or battlecry

well yeah, but thats the whole reason why the leeroy combo was so powerful. I'd almost go for an ending combo like arcane golem + cold blood + faceless + double shadow step for a ten mana 24 damage combo, or no shadow steps for a 8 mana 16 damage combo

I mean what's going to have spot removal for stuff like that? Mage with Polymorph and Shaman with Hex. I don't think Shaman will be incredibly popular though.

Hunter's mark + any previous board presence, or a boar, or hounds.

Mind control. This one's a bit shakier. There's the classic dilemma of 4-attack minions for priest though, otherwise they have sw:d or sw:p.

Rogues have assassinate which is meh, but they also typically run sap, which can in some situations be plenty good enough of an answer.

Handlocks also have siphon.

priests also typically run sylvanas, which sort of counts as hard removal

warrior of course has execute, shield slam, brawl, etc

many decks also run at least one form of silence

It also gets hard countered by loatheb. you setup malagos on a turn, opponent plays loatheb, now you can only play 1-2 spells

The only deck that wouldn't have a good response is druid, but druid is one of the weaker decks atm

ok here's my no-leeroy miracle attempt:

It works essentially the same as miracle with leeroy, but the combo is different. 8 mana for southsea + 2 cold blood + faceless for 20 damage. In order to work, you need a weapon up so Southsea has charge, but you're a rouge, so thats standard. Shadow step is almost always used for leeroy so its gone, instead theres a sinister strike and an extra conceal. Faceless has interesting utility as well since it allows you to grab big midgame minions, or copy van cleef, as well as use it for a big end combo.

ive also had really strong results running a questing adventurer, if you can get it behind a conceal before you start doing your cycling, you can get it much bigger than van cleef

Handlock is going to be stupidly overpopulated and Control Paladin will rise again! I am so fucking excited, I haven't stopped playing Pally since it went out of style, but I miss it.
