/in switch

What happens after the Serial Killer dies?

And that basically means that all of the town roles can't (or likely won't be) used until after the corresponding mafia member is killed, or if the SK sees it fit to be used, correct?

The town roles are used if the SK blocks the corresponding Mafia from blocking, or if the corresponding Mafia doesn't block (whether because he's dead and thus unable to, or because he chooses not to; remember, the pro-town roles affect the SK too).

Cop C9 is full, I'll update that when I'm more awake.

ShadowLurker has requested replacement for Open 2 (Vanilla).

ShadowLurker, why are you requesting replacement in one game and signing up for another?

/in nightless. I read the discussion in the forum, sounds fun.

/in for switch.

I'm a newbie mod, so I don't want to mod these two in case I screw up.

With 4 games, going, I'll be IC soon enough, and meh, most of the time, my games are so inactive.

sv, Nightless will be very easy to Mod. But obviously if you want to play then that's your choice.

Max hasn't checked in yet; I'll give him another couple days before limboing him and moving to the next Mod.

Speaking of Mods, I think I have reached my modding adulthood.

/out to play nightless. I'm actually in 16 games now I think so 1 less won't hurt.
reason below.

/in to mod nightless

I'm next after max, but I'm in open 4.

Max has been put in limbo. spectrumvoid is signed up to play, so next on the list for Cop C9 is Sarcastro; he has been PMed.

Any intuitive positions on Nightless regarding 1) when scum can talk, if ever, and 2) how to enforce any kind of deadline?

Well, there's four main possibilities:

1. Scum can't talk at all. (This would be my pick, at least for the first game.)
2. Scum can talk all the time.
3. Scum can talk in a pre-game period only.
4. Scum get some set time after each lynch to talk (but this doesn't fit so much with "Nightless", as you could call this period "Night").

I think the only realistic way to enforce a deadline would be to say whoever has the most votes gets lynched at deadline, no matter how few votes they have; but I would just leave it up to the players. Eventually they'll get tired of talking and lynch someone.

Patrick: Sarcastro is the mod for cop C9.

I don't think there should be a deadline unless discussion really stalls. Or it will become something like a speed mafia. It becomes unfair to townies because of the pressure to lynch.

Of course, there should only be a deadline when discussion is not doing well.

I think a vanilla game is relatively more likely to need deadlines here and there, though.

/out for vanilla. I've been a townie way too often recently, so I'm tired of being a townie for now.

(If anyone playing in one of my games is reading this, don't bother guessing which one I'm a townie in, I'll lie if you ask.)
