I feel like 'Rising Star' is something I'd give to an outstanding newbie--someone on their first year on-site who shows incredible promise.

Most Improved, though, I'd give to any player who has shown dedication and marked improvement on-site, not just in terms of win/loss ratios, but in the sense that their attitude towards others and the game has improved and been refined through hard work and determination to improve.

The way I view this is that some players do not stick around. They might play for a year and get Rising Star, but they don't stick around. This award would give players who may already be seasoned vets to win an award. I have noticed some of the best players here who are seasoned vets never win an award. I understand that not every good player wins an award, but I HAVE noticed that generally newer players are the players most likely to win an award. Our vets need love too.

It's okay LQ, the popular kids these days have a strange sense of humour. You'd be funnier if you asked if it was too late to nominate something in the nomination thread.

My memory is right shit and I have a very difficult time doing comparisons that span as long as a year. That's why I don't really nom people. It's not that I think people don't play good, it's that I literally cannot remember what people do in games; its all a blur to me. I should try and work on giving noms this year tho. Like as soon as I think to myself "that was something special" I should look to see how I can nom them.
