2. It's enough time for me to save a nice amount of money, my only trouble is univ. schedules and that stuff (And the fact that it's a longer trip than the US). so, right now I'm at ~50% (eagerness at 100%)

4. I'm googling it up, but do you know if there's any specific documentation needed for entering NZ? (like the US visa or similar)? I say it because I live in a pretty slow bureaucracy, which means slower than average paper work and sooner is better in this case.

I still vote for an early 2010. However, my academic schedule says that my vacation periods are the last weeks of Dec, April and August, so I'd go for a NZ Winter party as well

lol okay, just wondering. So basically the same as most places besides america.

Actual drinking age is around 13 here.

OK, good thing is, There are more or less direct flights to NZ (Mexico City - Los Angeles - Auckland). Bad thing is, I can't have airline fares for anytime past 11 mos.

...but if the Travel agency is correct, a NZ flight in early 2009 is around 2k USD for me but I must get a visa first.

A scummers meeting!! Awesome! But NZ is exactly in the antipodes where I live, lol! The flight will cost me a fortune if I fancy going.
But I enjoy meetings. And spending the new year´s day in the summer it´s such a promising an exotic thing!

Believe me, the flight's price is a pain for nearly all of us (around 2500 USD for me) but then again, who knows if I'll ever have another chance of visiting NZ (also, of meeting Tally! all in one trip. How cool would that be?)

What's the weather like, out of interest?

January is summer here... which means mostly sun, mild to warm temperatures... I'm sure I can figure out average temp and convert it to Farenheit for those who don't understand the superior celsius scale. Will do that later.
