WTF!?!?

Memo from Albert Pierrepoint to Mr Stoofer
-- Dear Sir, I can assure you that I performed all the usual checks on the equipment before proceeding with today's hanging. Everything seemed to be in order. Moreover, as far as I am concerned, I and my assistant followed all procedures to the letter. I can therefore offer no explanation as to how the prisoner managed to survive. Your obedient servant, A. Pierrepoint.

Rosse Carne (replaced by ooba) was not lynched Day 1

It is now Night 2. Choices must be sent by noon GMT Wednesday 13th February.

Cut and thrust

Those of you who were disappointed by the lack of a death yesterday evening should, I hope, be pleased by the satisfying amount of bloody killing that took place over night...

hasdgfas - Stan Laurel (Mason) - Cutlassed Night 2
Xtoxm (replaced Sir Tornado) - Bruce Lee (Ninja Protector) - Lightsabered Night 2

It is now Day 2. With 22 alive it will take 12 votes to lynch!

I can see Samwise Gangee being a tracker (for those that stated uncertainty about this role, he's a character from LOTR, tracker makes sense).

I don't like the way he's trying to get Guardian lynched despite the claim I think his roleclaim fits and guardian looks town and now he's accused me too.

I know where my suspicions lay, for now.

MBL, you had to kill the person I was most sure of as being town? :(.

I have a result on a player. I'm not sure me claiming the player or nature of my result immediately is the best thing for us, here. I'll not comment further about my result in this post; what is the general consensus on what I should do?

Time for a re-read, I hope. Day 1 was much too long (pages), though :(.

Indeed. Ninja Protector = Protects from Ninjas =/= Ninja who is a Protector.

Likewise Pirate Finder = Finds Pirates =/= Pirate who is a Finder.

Remember, it's also possible that the lack of ninja kill could come from attempted scum cross-killing.

It's clear that Guardian doesn't have a result of the form "X targeted hasdgfas", as there's absolutely no reason to hold such a result back.

But I don't see the reason in saying 'I have a result...' all portentious like if it's anything else. Trackings of living players to living players shouldn't be announced, since that marks said player out as likely PR.

Oh?

In Ork mafia, Shanba held back results for multiple days, with great effect. I am not a cop-mason (nor am I even a cop :P), as he was, so I'll reveal my result sometime today, but doing so immediately,
especially
if I have "X targeted cow", seems like it would stifle discussion.

If Guardian is scum, he's trying to overplay the whole "I'm a power role, trust me, I'm not a threat" thing. See the argument I had with him at the deadline for another example.

If Guardian is town, he's playing like newbish town. I have too much respect for Guardian as town to think this is likely.

1. Shanba did not hold back guilty results.
2. Shanba did not go "I don't know what to do with my results. Please help me decide town." He flat out said that he was choosing to hold back results.

I'm curious as to what the night scene means. Did Rosso survive being lynched or did the lynching machine break, or was he immune to being lynched, or was a mayor involved? IF someone intentionally prevented a lynch, day one, they are kind-of-likely to be scum.
Mod : Would 'lynching' be considered a 'faction' that scum have a one-shot immunity against?

Sorry for the misunderstanding re: the ninja protector, I didn't look at the front page before assaulting guardian. Agreed though re: shanba; Guardian needs to make that decision himself. If someone targetted a still-living player, they are most likely a PR (unless the scum have other power roles).

side note: no walking the planks, no beating uppages, no throat slittings, and two new deaethstyles; light sabreing and cutlassing. Cutlas is a pirate sword, I think, and light sabre is obv mbl.

I think Guardian should reveal his result. The reason people chose to lynch Rosso Carne instead of Guardian was to enable him to get a result to confirm him. Not revealing that result now would defeat the whole point of the excersize (sic?).

Thok:
1) I won't withold it for over night periods, but I think gauging reactions before I reveal is good.
2) I am a significant target of suspicion. Shanba wasn't, really.

I'm also curious about what happened with Rosso.

Skruffs, I didn't even realize you were assaulting me :?. I thought dead Xtoxm town meant you were suspicous of Thok, and Kscope for some reason :P.

I think I'll won't reveal my result for a while. Not hearing it immediately should keep scum on their toes and allow discussion to progress naturally.

Thok, I'm proud you hold my town play in such high regard but, reading Big Love or even Ork mafia, I think you are off re: me being good in big games. At least as it comes to dealing with people -- I'm always """suspicious""". So frustrating.

My suspicions and ideas are usually right on though. In Big Love mafia, I got 2/4 before replacing out. In Ork, I got 2 on the second day, and got the only scum lynch that happened (until lylo).

Thok, what do you think about Fonz, tsq, Thesp, and Erg0?
Fonz, what do you think about Thok, tsq, Thesp and Erg0?
TSQ/replacement, what do you think about Thok, Fonz, Thesp, Erg0?
Erg0, what do you think about Fonz, Thok, Thesp, tsq?
Thesp, what do you think about Fonz, Thok, Erg0, tsq?

Those are the five players I'd like to hear from at this point, though it would be great if everyone could comment on those five players.

I'll try to get to a re-read, but I am superbusy right now. IF the above five answer that, that should be some good content though.
Do not lynch me.

Thesp I find scummy. He's been on multiple wagons that to me looked dodgy, and doesn't appear to me to be displaying the level of critical thought I'd expect of

Erg0 I see no reason to think he's scum. His arguments seem well-reasoned, and he gives the impression of genuine scumhunting.

Thok I'm fairly mixed on, but trending town. Don't see the Thesp connection you claimed to. Only bit i didn't like was when he seemed to try to make out that not OMGUS voting him made you more likely to be scum. Nature of Thok-Guard sparring makes me think it isn't a bus, which might be relevant later.

Shea- was Shea. Confrontational, prominent, with the odd bit of semi-decent analysis, and an argument with Thok which imho he loses badly. Pretty much par for the course.

Of those the only one I have major suspicions of is TSQ. Asking my opinions on Thesp and TSQ are sort of pointless given that I've repeatedly made a big deal of both of them.

The Fonz and Erg0 both seem protown for me, although a lot of that is from the fairly consistent play I see from both of them

Question for Guardian: If Xtoxm was really "the person you were most cetain was protown", why didn't you say anything when he was coming under pressure yesterday for his OMGUS vote on me?
