Oh yeah! That pissed me off at the time
I have some issues with setup. Town had a fuckton of power, scum had a negative utility, and motion detector has the possibility of being just as misleading as helpful."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

Scum usually complain about town power. Here, scum won despite shooting their own traitor. Not really sure I'd agree w balance complaints. I'd have been fine w gunsmith being a tracker instead, but I didn't object to the boost there and still think it's well within standard balance range.Showhttp://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Mhsmith0
Conq: you, sir, are great at being town.
BATMAN: Only jugg was the only one we didn’t scum read at least not me
Quick: There is little to no chance this slot is Power-Wolfing.
SR: I want to give him a day

I mean, Traitor was instead of, not in addition to, the standard fourth team member for this number. And motion detector is -almost- like "why bother".
Don't get me wrong, I dig the idea of a Traitor done this way, but to call a spade a spade, it's a heavy handicap, and the fact that we killed ours N1 proves it.
PEdit: No no, you misunderstand. We won DESPITE the balance. This was heavily Townsided. I often defend mods and reviewers, but this is akin to that scene from Men of Honor, where the racist instructors slash a big hole in Cuba Gooding's toolbag before tossing it into the water. We were hamstrung from the start. Again, that's okay, but you ALSO chose to give Town a bunch of power. Either by themselves would be fine, both wasn't a fair shake."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

Two masons, a vig, a gunsmith and something that was both largely useless and a reasonably plausible scum power. In a 13v4 vs, say, four goons and daytalk, that's a tad light, especially since the gunsmith could out the vig (and town vanilla cop is decent odds to get lynched w a guilty there), and a GS guilty isn't a hard guilty if on scum (and traitor gets an innocent from GS as well).
Some of it gets back to "what we think balance ought to be" vs "what balance actually is". I think balance here was fine, especially in light of some other large single ball normal setups that have gone out. There were plenty of vts, so scum could win without ever needing to lynch a pr. Town power was decent but poorly coordinated and with a very reasonable chance of mutually interfering (gs on vanilla cop or vig or traitor, vig on any town pr).
I approved this for balance and would do so again.Showhttp://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Mhsmith0

This is likely not a thing we will come to an agreement to you, so I will bow out of this thread with a respectful nod of the head to my worthy opponents in the Town, who made this game a very, very close thing indeed, and quite memorable.

Pine is much more mature than me but I will say that the games conclusion=//=balanced and then drop it.Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
