Since GreasySpot posted so quickly with role claims, I think his post restriction is fake.aioqwe wrote:Just a weee bit of reason please?
If he's a townie with a post restriction, he would have posted less to minimize confusion, and he would rather be mod-killed than us wasting a lynch on him.
I doubt he's a townie with a post restriction. We can test it by putting him at lynch minus one, and see whether he opts for a mod-kill.-

So we have a semi-smalltown setup...
1. aioqwe - Assassin
2. Greasy Spot - Psychologist - I have to analyze everybody by day and send that info to the mod. If I am correct about a person I get to see their powers, if they have any.
3. Rosso Carne - Blackjack Dealer
4. Unity - Hyptonist
5. ryan - Slots Manager
6. armlx - Stick Man
7. thinktank - Bartender
8. vIQleS - Know-It-All
9. SensFan - BellHop
10. Joubert - David Webb
11. Mr_Gnome_It_All - TBA
12. Lloyd -
Anyone want to confirm my hunch above?-

Rosso Carne,
Regarding your proposal to mass claim vanilla / non-vanilla ... I think pete_d would design this game to prevent a mass claim. In one of his previously modded games, pete_d mentioned choosing role names in that game to prevent a mass claim. See Homer Mafia at http://www.greylabyrinth.com/discussion ... &start=223
With that said...I'd rather not mass claim unless you can convince me that it would significantly benefit our town.
For what it's worth, Greasy Spot seems like a day gossiper in this game. A common theme around pete_d's 2 modded games that I've read, have been Day Gossipers. In addition to Homer Mafia that I linked above, here's a link to Gossip Mafia - http://www.greylabyrinth.com/discussion ... &start=522-

What would it mean if he claims Mr_Gnome_It_All?SensFan wrote:GS:
If you can do anything other than claim, put the name of a player in this game in your next post.
If you must only claim, but can choose your claim, claim something beginning with any letter other than [A/B/C/D/E/F/G/H/I/J/K/L/N/O/P/Q/R/S/T/U/V/W/X/Y/Z] in your next post.
If you can only claim, and have no choice on the claim, do not comply with either of the above statements in your next post.-

Since only you, Rosso Carne, and Mr_Gnome_It_All haven't voted yet today....Are the three of you working together as an Assassins?Greasy Spot wrote:Howdy all!!
Role Claim! I am the Assassin. I can't vote during the day but if you tell who you want killed at night I will kill them for you.
What's with all the James Bond and Jason Bourne related role claim references recently? Although they tangentally circle back to your original role claim of Assassin.
Are you role claiming, and pete_d tells you "hot" or "cold", until you narrow in on a correct role needed to trigger a power in your role, or an event in this game?
Meta-gaming wise, if you start role claiming on day 1 in other games, then I'll want to nominate you for the title of "Role Claim!" in the Title Fairy thread at http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4310-

I tried reading your breadcrumbs, and the only hint that I see is that you might be able to nightkill. With that said, it till doesn't explain what kind of danger our town is in.
Even if we hypothetically have a cult of killing scarecrows, I wouldn't find them dangerous enough of a threat at this point in the game.
I've rarely seen a game that ends on day 1 nor night 1, to the point of warranting a mass claim on day 1.
If mass claiming ends up breaking this game, then I definitely don't want to be a part of it. I'd rather just play the game out as the mod intended, and I doubt the mod would intentionally set this game up to be breakable.-

I still don't see how there could be a danger that warrants a mass claim so early.
In a game where town starts out less-than-50-percent of the population (like in Kelly Open Setup 2 : Too Much Scum), I doubt a mass claim would have helped catch scum. Besides, there were two opportunities (sometimes three) to lynch per day in that game, in order to balance things out.
In a mini where it ended on night 1, Mini 438: Mutually Assured Destruction Mafia, I don't think mass claim would have helped catch scum either, since the scums in that game were given safe claims.
I've never seen a game where mass culting happens on night 1. Hypothetically, suppose we have two cults (based on the idea suggested in Game Idea: Double-Cult), then it would be difficult for our town to win. One possible way to balance it out is to allow multiple lynches per day.
I've seen no inclinations so far that this is a multi-lynch-per-day game, so I don't think we're in peril at this time as you seem to suggest.-

Rosso Carne, I agree with armlx. Could you give us another breadcrumb?armlx wrote:Rosso, I still fail to see how you are saying a mass claim will help deal wiht a cult if I got your role right.

Greasy Spot,
If you are currently culted and want to potentially be de-cultified instead of being vigged...
If you have a choice in communicating with us (other than saying Howdy all!!", "Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a Winner! ", and "My Mama made me"), could you post x # of consecutive claims quickly indicating who the cult leader may be?
1. aioqwe
2. Greasy Spot
3. Rosso Carne
4. Unity
5. ryan
6. armlx
7. thinktank
8. vIQleS
9. SensFan
10. Joubert
11. Mr_Gnome_It_All
12. Lloyd
13. pete_d
14. There is no cult
Hypothetical Example: If Greasy Spot is the cult leader, you could claim consecutively twice very quickly.
So far, it doesn't seem like your claims are time bounded (you've claimed multiple times in a single day), so I'm suggesting the above method as a way for you to communicate with our town.-

I don't think you are a jester as ryan suggested. At worst, you are a scum faking a post restriction and causing confusion.
I don't understand your recent CNUSVRPEOO cryptic hint.
Why wait until now, when you could have written something similar, CUEPSOOVNR, earlier with:

The town won in Resident Evil 4 MafiaSensFan wrote:A 12-person game with (at least) 2 scums AND a Cult Leader is probably the most broken game I've ever heard of. The Town stands no chance whatsoever.
It is possible; the mechanics in Resident Evil 4 Mafia had the possibility of remaining uncured cult members turning into SKs, but cult members were cured before turning into SKsBattleMage wrote:3 scum in a 12 player game is balanced. Maybe 4 is a possibility, but a cult and 2 anti-town killing groups?
IMPOSSIBLE.

Since we're speculating on flavor of night kills...
Here's my theory:
- stuffed full of straw: Probably by Mafia Scarecrows
- kicked out of the casino: Probably by Vig Bouncer
- torn to pieces: Probably by SK White Tiger (from Siegfried and Roy)

Cult cops probably isn't recruitable either, or else Rosso Carne's claimed role would be recruited already.Battle Mage wrote:SK's dont get recruited. Even if for some reason there was a cult and this was the most unfair game EVER, SK's are not recruitable.
Battle Mage, I think you are mafia scum who is pushing for an SK (Rosso Carne)'s quick lynch.

SK = Rosso Carne

- I think Rosso Carne is an SK who tore Unity to pieces last nightvIQleS wrote:Perhaps we need to start talking about other possible scum. We should have at least one more, probably two... (RC may be one of them, or he may be a SK...)
- I think Battle Mage is Scarecrow scum for pushing Rosso Carne's quick lynch. As for Mr_Gnome_It_All (Battle Mage's predecessor), he mostly lurked yesterday, and the only time he tried contributing, was asking others to decipher Greasy Spot's posts, which Unity agreed with Mr_Gnome_It_All
- I think SensFan is Scarecrow scum for his aggressive behavior toward ryan, for directing Greasy Spot excessively with confusing questions, and asking Greasy Spot to put his life on the line in determining ryan's alignment
Who agrees or disagrees, and what is your analysis?-

Rosso Carne is gone for a week (based on info from other games), so I doubt he'll be responding in the next 12 hours.
Battle Mage wrote:you can give me the answer im looking for to vote for someone elseYou can't possibly be serious about "you can give me the answer im looking for", can you?
Earlier, you mentioned that if Rosso Carne isn't lynched today, you would ask for a replacement. Now, you're considering voting for someone else if Rosso gives you the answer you are looking for?
What answer could Rosso possibly give, for you to vote for someone else?
If you are serious about "the answer im looking for"...The only times I recall seeing players fish for info from others, is when groups (i.e. mafia or cult) don't know who each other are.
Some fishing examples are:
- Worst Role Evar - Godfather fishing to find his goon
- Rocks Papers Scissors (multi-mafia game) - Mafia fishing to find each other
- Resident Evil 4 - Cult members fishing to find each other
After Rosso is lynched...If he's not the SK, then this game could be over if we have 3 more night-kills.
If you want to clarify why you are fishing for information, this is the time to do so.
I think you writing "you can give me the answer im looking for" is a HUGE scum tell.-

Your answer is satisfactory. Given your explanation for meta-gaming reasons, I no longer think you were fishing for in-game reasons.Battle Mage wrote:me trying to establish whether Rosso had ever played IRC Mafia before, in an attempt to assess whether it is likely that, as i had suspected, his claim had been inspired by that. Its the only place ive ever seen cult cop as a frequently occuring role.
In some themed games (Worst Role Evar, Rocks Paper Scissors, Resident Evil 4), mafia and / or cult cannot talk to each other at night, nor know who each other are. Instead, they have to use their roles or PM'd clues to fish for info from each other in game. Whether that applies to this game or not, I don't know.Battle Mage wrote:Why would mafia want to find other mafia in this game?Or perhaps more relevant-why would they want to keep quiet about it?
It's time to kick another suspect out of the casino.
