Its actualy a logical fallacy and I'm ashamed upon using it. So I apologize on my appeal to pity.

So currently you still have no actual reasoning to put forth, GS?
MeMe wrote:Also -- anyone else wanna chime in on whether/how we should comply with hasdgfas's wish for us to repeat nemA?
Is this the post you're referring to?
hasdgfas wrote:Amens useful.

saying the word...

Maybe his win condition is to trick a player into repeating that word backwards.... MeM:!:

Oh, nevermind, I read both of your posts more in context and figured out what you're getting at.

has, do you need the town to repeat that word? Or do only you need to say it?

BM, I agree that he is inconsistent, but does that equal scummy over just bad logical reasoning? As it has been pointed out to me (repeatedly) on this site, being hypocritical is by no means scummy. Now, I tend to disagree when there is a vote involved and I dont think he actually has his vote on you. All this being said, I might agree with you and vote Quickben, but GS is by far the scummiest atm and my vote will stay here.

QB, what are your thoughts on GS? So do you think BM is scummier than MoS (where your vote is currently).

PookyTheMagicalBear wrote:He's attacking you for telling the Jester that we are going to lynch him if he claims before the Jester claims.

Whether he thinks that that is the correct play is consistent with the fact that he thinks you are scummy for choosing to tell the Jester that you want to lynch him and that you believe the best play for the Jester is to lynch him.
Apparently, this is not the case. Quickben seems to think i am either annoying town or Jester. In the case of the latter, he wishes to try and lynch me today. Please tell me how that is any way logical, when compared with the fact that it is the sole reason he wants me dead in the first place! :shock:

His views with regard my position on the Jester also seem to be at polar opposites to yours. Fair do's for trying though. ;)

Anyway thanks MeMe and CKD for your responses. I feel alot better now with my vote, and general play. Mith, this game would benefit from your presence.

Random powers for getting other people to say a word isn't at all thematic, and doesn't seem like Thesp's style. Seems more like a UPick claim. Bleh. I don't like it.

(See previous post regarding V/LA. I'll try to catch up later today, depending on how the puzzling is going and whether I go out later.)

has, is there anything wrong with getting the whole town to say it tomorrow instead of today? Other than delaying your random power by one day/night phase?

I'm still new with this PR thing. And I think I get what Meme's direction at with the A word thought.
Although hasdgfas's Random Power maybe a bad thing for town, but I still prefer he's able to discuss (express himself) normally than hides behind his PR.
I'll wait for others to sound their opinion regarding this A word for more revelation.

so you have a night power as well as the random powers? I think everyone would appreciate it if you sacrificied your night power tonight just to explain everything. People are getting suspicious. aren't powers on night one, other tha scum, of course, kinda random and arbitrary anyway? it's up to you.

I am nowhere NEAR up to date with this game - I'm still away from home - but I wanted to mention my thoughts about the mostly mute thing. My first reaction when I saw it was that is could be a scum role. Is my memory correct that Thesp won that game as scum at Thespival?

Actually no, I'm saying that if you're town you should have just shut up and paid attention to who, if anyone, fell for the trap. Its flaw was semi obvious to anyone who was paying attention and the point was that if its flaw didn't affect you, why bother saying anything? I'm not the Jester. Do I give two mouse turds if mith and pooky want to try and convince him/her to come forward? Nope. Did I see the logical issue with the request? Yup. Is it my job as a townie to direct a neutral role in how to play it? Nope. If we have a SK are you going to start giving *them* directions on how not to be found? If I wanted to lynch you, I would have voted you. I actually didn't remember that my vote was on MOS. I'll remove that at the end of the post. (thanks CKD) You managed to misrepresent my entire post BM, which really set off the scumdar, but could be chalked up to crappy reading comprehension skills.

@CKD- My thoughts on GS (as opposed to BM) were actually someone who wasn't actively trying to be a pain in the ass. He seemed genuinely confused about the plan and was asking questions that I would have asked if I suspected a little misdirection. Is it possible that he's the Jester? Sure. But unless we have a townie lie detector, we're not gonna know for sure.

wolfcrier, my vote is on you for a few reasons. Here are a few:

1.)
You call mith "very scummy" while at the same time tacitly agreeing to his plan by claiming to not be the Jester.

2.)
You claim that mith's "logic was off" without referring to the logic of other players who agreed with mith.

3.)
The main reason is your Post 273. Earlier you claimed you were "reluctant to vote" (Post 231), yet you seem fine putting the
ninth
vote on Greasy Spot after you had thought mith was "very scummy". You call Greasy Spot both "hypocritical" and "illogical" without explaining how either of those two characterizations apply to Greasy Spot.

4.)
You follow up that post with Post 313, still without explaining how hypocritical (much less illogical) applies to Greasy Spot, and additionally wanting us to "get the day over with".

~~~~~
Some questions for you:
A.)
Why were you "reluctant" to vote earlier, and now you want the day to be over quickly?
B.)
If you believed mith's "logic was off", how would Greasy Spot disagreeing be "illogical"?
C.)
Why have you not explained how you believe Greasy Spot to be both hypocritical and illogical? Additionally,
how
has Greasy Spot been both hypocritical and illogical?
D.)
Has your opinion on the matter changed now that it has been made clear the Jester plan was a trap?
E.)
Did you realize your vote was the ninth vote on Greasy Spot?
"Logic? I call that flapdoodle."
