Someone help me understand what a motion detector does and what results he would get. If a motion detector visits a someone and that person is visited by a JK, for example, wouldn't his results say that person X was visited by a Jk?

Just that that person performed an action or had an action performed on them other than the motion detection. No other information.

The Motion Detector learns if any actions were performed by or on a player, but not what they were, or who else was involved.

A Motion Detector is considered Normal on mafiascum.net. A Motion Detector should receive the same result if they see an action being performed by their target as they would if they see an action being performed on their target (and the same if they see both). If their target is Ascetic or targeted by a Rolestopper, they should receive a "No Result" pm, the same as if they'd been blocked themselves. A Motion Detector would not see a Ninja performing a kill.

I don't know much about setup speculation but I'm scum reading MBG because the way he claim to use his role does not make sense if you consider how Keyser acted towards the end of D1 and how he treated him at the beginning of D2. You can debate on protecting the cop but targeting Keyser doesn't make sense.
