Leave it dead) - Mafiascum.net
Yeah I just read my confessional from Middle Earth like yesterday.
Things probably in my head during the game:
What's Survivor?
What's a PM?
Why does anybody care about me talking to them?
There's no real strategic aspect, right?
Yeah my confessionals are all the same at this point. Just a stream of consciousness with a few insults, people that I call out on lies, repetitive cries of "where is my tribeeeeeeeee", and occasionally the lyrics of "One is the Loneliest Number" by Three Dog Night. Occasionally I become Drench by accident. It's kinda weird.
Rory was in decent shape until he tried to make a big move after everyone else was nearly set on voting for me. He would have gotten a fair bit deeper had he not destroyed his own game at the TC.
Gender things don't really change that much, a lot of the time. I don't know about Wiggles's case in particular though. I personally don't take gender of others into account when playing since it's very frequently played with when selecting a character. Apparently Kindred is a female character but it only got mentioned to me like once that people were calling me "she".

I was a disaster until you showed up Something changed when I played PSV after a few months' hiatus from Legit Survivor (April to September of that year). Before that, I was really bad.

I thought you were pretty good in EtU! Or does that not count as legit Survivor?
Both, I didn't feel good in EtU and that's not legit Survivor!
"Usually my gameplay isn't too great, but who knows what will happen here?"
I hate to continue the D3f3nd3r slaughter here, but Auru's tale was not an interesting one. He was in a middling-to-low position on his first tribe, then got swapped to a new tribe with two "easy boots" in Link and Barinade. But then it turns out everyone likes B)arinade more than they like Auru. Whoops!
In post 584, Crazy wrote:As it turned out, the challenge was some sort of ball-related posting challenge that seemed similar to a challenge that D3f3nder aced in League of Legends. Points for irony, I suppose!
Not really. I didn't lose because I screwed up the execution, I lost because I figured that three hours was going to be enough for a relatively difficult endurance challenge. I hit the three hours that I wanted but it wasn't enough.
I don't think there was really any larger timeframe that I had during the time we were given, so if you were able to go, say, five hours I probably would have just conceded.

Like I'm not really a fan of the balls challenge either, because if your wifi is having a bad day(/year) you're fucked
Do something like having to post very precise things, maybe drawing ASCII art?
Balls was actually an endurance challenge though. I only failed when I did because my left pinky (which I had manning the control key to paste the ball code over and over again) was on the verge of giving out, I tried to figure out a way to get the stress off it, and missed the timer while doing so. I failed because my body (well, a very small part of my body) couldn't take it any more.

Speed Boggle wasn't especially bad. It's just that its precursor, Survivor Conclave's Boggle, was a day-long "who has the most time" challenge where last place was eliminated outright.
His not writing a closing statement for FTC (which led the mods to call him "a dumb") does say a decent amount. Maybe there are more fitting cuts here, but I don't think he deserves the big boost that he'd probably get if he got idoled.
GoT didn't have many especially memorable players or moments but there were a few players that could make it deep on very strong gameplay alone. I see Gilly making it to the F14 final thing, but she might be the only top 40 player from GoT.
GoT should average high though since there were very few of the "eh" or game-hurting characters that have been getting the boot now.

The Spreadsheet wrote:Only players with 3 or more games are included. ELO diff. is the difference between a player's ELO percentile and their average placement as the same, higher being a better performance in the rankdown.
Does this actually mean anything? It doesn't seem like there's going to be any result other than percentages going down as average placement gets lower/better.
I think I just got confused since the percentile calculations aren't visible on the spreadsheet (unless you play around with selecting cells and copy-pasting them elsewhere) and because the "average placement as the same" wording made no sense.
Edit: Probably just clearer if you make it "average placement percentile"
"when the way you treated me between the Malphite boot and my boot was both executed abysmally and was an insult to my intelligence?"
Lissandra's play is very polarizing in a way. For the first half of the game, no one had any idea what to say about her and Lissandra was considered a basic non-entity, only really coming to play during the last swap and the end of the merge. But in true PEG fashion, the confessional is still pretty amazing. Aside from that, there's not much else to say.

So he's not flipping this coin between helping me who has nobody to help them at all, and the other tribe who has at least 2 on right then, and there was a third person who had hopped on at one point, oh no it's not that, the coin toss is ACTUALLY which of the two ways he can help this tribe and fuck mine is he going to go with.
I really don't think he was worthy of being the second-best first boot (if I recall he was the other victim of the double tribal that started Conclave).

While TBO has certainly done some good things, he did not stand out at all in Seafoam Islands. There was a controversy surrounding his elimination in that an idol was played, his name came up once in a 1-1 tie, a player self voted on the revote to make it a tie, and he was eliminated since the third post-revote tiebreaker sent home the player with the most votes against (after taking out players that self-voted regardless of whether or not they were in the tie, but that's a story for another day). Had this been the world of ROCKS ROCKS ROCKS that MafiaScum now is, this bizarre elimination would not have happened.
There are players here that were already cut that actually stood out for what they did. Machamp only stands out for what happened to him that was completely out of his control. He obviously did something right, because he's TBO and knows how to do that plus he made it to 9th place, but that's not good enough anymore.
Keeping with the Drench cuts, I guess. Miranda never really stood out in Mass Effect, and I really don't see much reason to keep her in. The confessional is nearly nonexistent considering Miranda was alive for over a month, and in terms of game impact there really isn't much: her closest ally was booted immediately after her, then the rest of her tribe was promptly taken out at merge - nobody on her second tribe survived to the Final 8. She didn't seem to be a particularly bad character, but at the same time she wasn't a particularly good one. There's not a ton to say here.
259. Steve Cortez (Orcinus_theoriginal, Mass Effect)
He seemed slightly more liked than my last cut, Miranda Lawson? Otherwise he was on the same tribe and was just booted slightly earlier. There's not much to say here either, almost everything that applied to Miranda applies here too.
