Yes.

Same result as if we NL, then one of us rushes in to vote him before SC can, and SC hammers (or doesn't, forcing a NL and an NK, leading to his victory.)

If he doesn't vote Fate today, we lynch him tomorrow. If he doesn't lynch fate tomorrow, he wins as he has no reason to hammer then and we are helpless.

It wasn't Gin's gambit. He actually argued against it in the scum PT. Aero loved the idea, and insisted.
