I don't believe that anything is NAI. Every post a player makes, they are aware of their own alignment, and thus it will affect them.

Making a disclaimer post about your own playstyle is preemptively giving you an excuse later on to do something scummy.

It shows one is concerned with how they will be perceived in the future, a mindset more likely to come from scum.

You don't have to be scum to make such a post, but it helps a scum agenda more than a town one.

Why should he push for a wagon so early on? All we've got from many of us is just a load of shitposting. Committing to a lynch so fast could be an easu way for scum to manipulate a situation.

No, mislynches happen. I have repeatedly been mislynched as a VT cos I've done my damnedest to prove I was town, but at the end of the day when you're forced to claim it's not exactly the most believable role when everyone scumread you.

I guess what I mean is that if you spend more time focusing on solving than worrying about your appearance, it doesn't matter if you're being scumread. Either you'll prove you're innocent, or you get lynched and you provide the rest of town with new info/perspective because your wagon can be analyzed. Basically I agree with the sentiment that you shouldn't, as town, fixate on the game's perception of your alignment. Just get on with it.

As far as the yoshi wagon, I've had mixed feelings there all game. I thought that his pursuit of pepcho looked like scum trying to trip up lynchbait and his ironstove vote is pretty bad too...

But I think it's notably townie that he's concerned himself with players who were kind of off the radar like kuror and drealmerz. I feel like town are far more likely to take deeper looks at relatively ignored slots, so I'm hesitant on scumreading him because of that.

In response to Yoshi on developing my own reads: we're 115 pages in, I've just processed a lot of shite, and haven't taken much in. My hope was to get stuff like "hey, what do you think of X vs. Y?" Or "what do you make of Z's comments here?" To try and get my head in a space where we can bounce info back and forth and get more people (read: me) contributing in an effective, useful manner.

I had been townleaning Elena but the wagon raises several good points, particularly that shite about the name of the second mafia team. I'm not opposed to this lynch. If we lynch Elena, however, I want some assurances as to Transcend's alignment being revealed.

I've liked Jae's play and I'm willing to hold off on an Alisae lynch in order to see what he's got to show. In saying that, very few of us were fans of that slot and I honk we should be prepared for the likelihood of a potential gambit or whatever you want to call it.
