I got it almost a month ago and only managed to play it once. We started at like 10PM (bad idea) and at some point we realized it was 3AM and we were all half asleep, all of us were failing pretty spectacularly in the 'how does this work again' department.
Incidentally BSG also marked the point where my games exceed the allotted space in my closet (2 shelves). I should probably get rid of some of the children's games still in there.
How do you guys find people to play board games with? Most of my friends really prefer LoL LAN-parties whenever we do anything game related together.

Both Battlestar Galactica and Pandemic are fun co-op games imo, I haven't played any others. Pandemic is very easy and only takes a short time to play (it's also just about the only game I can get my parents to play), BSG is more complex and you really need to have the time, but it's awesome.

I had a bit of a board game marathon last week with my brother and two friends, started at 2PM with Tragedy Looper, a few rounds of Escape: Curse of the Temple, pizza, Pandemic Legacy (January) and then two games of Legends of Andor, ending at around 2AM.
Pandemic Legacy plays really different from the normal board game, normally you can be a lot more casual, in this game we were at two outbreaks with a maximum of three more happening before we won, but you're still trying to prevent those because they'll leave permanent marks on the board.
Legends of Andor is weird, it's mostly fun, but the time mechanics are really wonky and it just feels bad when the best decision is to leave a monster you could kill with two hands tied behind your back to pillage the fortress because for some reason killing it takes as much time as 4 days worth of other actions.

Pretty sure Curses and Treasures are included in the base game. But yeah, Escape is great.

Finally got around to playing March of Pandemic Legacy, got 3 epidemics that immediately hit the cities infected, apart from that nothing really happened.

Got to Pandemic Legacy April
Spoiler: Pandemic Legacy
2 lines into the update everyone at the table goes "Oh, it's a zombie virus."
We had a basically perfect run, we even almost got done without putting any 'verbleekten' (pale ones?) on the board, unfortunately we drew the one Coda city in the infection deck that we hadn't quarantined the turn before we were done.

Spoiler: Pandemic April
For the moment they don't seem that bad, we haven't really had any outbreaks in Coda territory since we unlocked the quarantine specialist and they don't seem particularly more dangerous than normal Coda until you get outbreaks into non-coda cities, though there's always the joy of getting an epidemic hitting a city and then immediately drawing it.

Spoiler:
We have black, seems pretty easy so far, we have half a dozen cities at 1, mostly due to a few bad runs of getting a card from the bottom and then immediately drawing it again. The main problem is that we're at 0 funding so we can't use the special action cards that would allow us to deal with those, we put in the non-funded remove 1 disease cube card in March and that helped quite a bit, especially since the Quarantine Specialist and the Medic are rivals and I got it as the Researcher in my opening hand, so I gave it to one of them and they spent the entire April game passing it back and forth using it on hotspots.
I understand that we're just about to enter terror mode though. And we forgot to use our upgrades to put air-strike on a card.
Btw Rivals are really nice, "I'm taking a plane to Lagos" "I'm discarding Tokyo and another card to take Lagos" "Well then I discard two cards to take Tokyo and use it to cure the last disease"

Also, buy Pandemic Legacy instead of Pandemic. Legacy contains the complete base game, so you can just play it without the legacy rules a few times for the vanilla pandemic experience and then play legacy.

We had a similar experience a few weeks ago. We'd been breezing through the game up to then. Though in our case we could see the probable loss coming some time before. We made some mistakes so we know things to do better.
Spoiler: Pandemic Legacy
Also, adding some military bases to the board in regions that are actually relevant will probably help.

Just played July and August for S1 on Saturday, we got really terrible draws on the August game and probably did more damage to the board than all of the previous games combined, by the end we were leaving disease cubes on the board just to lose the game faster and limit the damage.

Yeah, I've been playing it with my brother and two friends, we don't have a lot of time, so we've been going for over 1,5 years now. We usually play 1-2 games of Pandemic and then do another game, we played Eleusis Saturday which was also pretty fun.
