Spyrex/camntsuki/other pokemons who have played in previous Fate-games: what lead you to believe that the VC thing was role-related and not another one of Fate's fanciful flourishes?

FYI to everyone I have also played in Fate games and I don't really have any clue about the VC talk. Fate puts a lot of funky roles in his games, but moreso than the roles themselves Fate games have a lot of... gamewide situations, for lack of a better word, that change the state of the game for everyone.
