2. he is scum worried about the thought of a mass claim and has tried to give a strategy to the other scum. OK a very bad strategy given dragons rebuttal.

Now i lay it out tho, it seems obv that we are looking at scenario 1. I don't like the reveal he has forced, but i have to think he is town, unless we are waaayy into WIFOM territory

my first thought was that it was scum guiding. I was asked to explain this. When I thought it through more in order to articulate what I meant, I decided that the most sensible explanation was scenario 1 rather than 2, and whilst i think it was an incredibly anti-town move by Phate, I think it was an anti-town move by a townie. If he were scum and had said all vanilla's are lettuce, that would most probably get him lynched then and there, because of the high likelihood of the statement being plain wrong. I now believe that he is indeed a vanilla townie with the role name of lettuce, so i have unvoted. This obviously means that I also believe dragon's claim at this moment of time.

I don't get it. The scum don't have a safe claim. If they did, the way I'd know it would be to be a vanilla, in a game where all vanillas have the same rolename. Being scum wouldn't help me at all.

encrypted claims are not viable, i agree with Y that they are not in teh spirit of the game. Unlike a lot of people i will give Phat ethe benefit of the doubt that he didn't know what the safe claim was and its definetly not enough to vote him. True its scummy but considering he admitted he didnt know what it was and his join date implies this as well, I don't think he has enough strikes on him to lynch as ryan stated.

But seriously, stop coming up with these oddball ideas, they aren't helping town at all: safe claim and the encrypted claim? really?

Phate's actions are definetly scummy, being new or not is besides that point however don't hammer him yet, i think he is at lynch-2 but more information is needed, we don't have the smoking gun yet.

its not just the safe claim thing. First was the all vanilla townies are lettuce, which has been counter claimed already. What I am wondering is if Scum were given lettuce as a safe claim, Phate has misunderstood thinking that this means all vanilla are lettuce and this is what caused the situation

I did some researching and the 'leek' is referred to as garlic here in the U.S... and I'm still trying to figure it out- where does that fit into this game? I don't remember anyone claiming leek

leek <> garlic, it is in the same family, and is closest to elephant garlic apparently, but it is not the same stuff that is in garlic bread etc.

I'm also suspicious of "Green pepper" for similar reasons, since my impression is that that name is more often used in the US than anywhere else. I usually refer to it as "Green capsicum" or just "Capsicum" and

Green Pepper is common usage in the UK for a capsicum.

The criteria is not whetehr a veg can be roasted. I have in fact eaten roast capsicum, but as part of a pasta meal, not as part of a Sunday roast, ie Roast Beef with all the trimmings etc. My list stands, of you want to attack me for it, go ahead.

It seams to me after re-reading whome's posts that he is looking for spots in this game that he can use to pin scum on other players, which has not been the case lately except for ryan. who would try to pin scum on non scum except a scum trying to play town?

Random vote aside, in this game i have voted ryan, phate, destructor & gorckat. Of these only ryan is deand and confirmed, the others are alive, so I am interested in knowing how you know they are non scum?

That's sort of my point. We have all now claimed. Clearly the scum amongst us are lying. The one scum we know the vegetable of is ryan, and he is indeed a vegetable that would go with a roast dinner, just not a green one. That is why I am surmising that the people on my list are lying about their veg.

i myself never seen spinach roasted with beef, I have however seen roast beef with boiled spinach. My criteria isn't that the vegetable can be roasted, it's whether they would traditionally (in the UK) be served with a roast dinner.

There's a heap of way's you can try and split the claims but unless you've got more information than the rest of us I don't see how you can be sure enough to want to give away a lynch (and possibly another 2 NK's - which could put us in LYLO) in order to test your theory.

no its defo green vs non green. However EVERYONE has claimed a green veg, therefore we KNOW the scum faction are lying. I think the cucumber, lettuce and green pepper are the lies, as all the other veg both claimed and known fit the category I am pushing.
