I chose racefan for a couple reasons.

I know Piggy worked with some people early in the game, I do not know who all she worked with. Racefan told me that he only worked with only Piggy. Going with racefan means I'm not competing against any potential allies Piggy has, I'd rather go against someone who has a harder road in the finals.

I worked with racefan as well, more so than Piggy, so for that reason, too, I wanted to go to the end with him.

I've already essentially described my game to Xalxe over here

But to expand, I spent the first part of the game wanting to mess around and have fun. I didn't expect to make it far, but I also wasn't really planning on forming alliances in the early part, hoping to sort things out when we got to the 'merge.' It was fun to spin the wheel and see who I would vote each round, but I tactically kept my row and column out of my random number generation, knowing our mutual interest of having immunity would align and if I could keep them in the game I would be able to do better.

When jury started, I formed some alliances, mostly within my column, but a few without. Pablito was my main alliance this entire game. I tried to organize votes to go our way, where I would get immunity (and it's no accident I got it three rounds in a row). Towards the middle of jury, it's impossible to know for sure what happened, but people did not vote how I expected them too and I am hoping that people won't hold it against me since I did everything I could to push my column, BS2000 (I would have tried to push Xalxe forward but I don't know if you replied to the PMs I sent you) and racefan forward. Sometimes it didn't work, and sometimes it did. I'm surprised that I am here, but I am excited that in this chaotic, unpredictable game, I get to appeal to you all.

I hope that you vote for me, but at least let me know what I can do to help you make your decision.

Lol. I never told you std, but piggy was my source from d1 all that time.

Anyway racefan my question for you is why didn't you approach me at f4 to ask me to take you to f2?
Sup, later.

Wow... I never expected to make it anywhere near this far at all. Now let's see if I manage to convince anyone that STD made
a million-dollar mistake
a losing decision in choosing to take me to the final two.

Ugh, no... you couldn't pay me to be president.
Cheery Dog wrote:Racefan, how true is StD's story?
Fairly true. I spent most of the game as mostly a free agent... piggy would sometimes approach me with someone to vote for, but often I just voted completely on my own. A couple of times Bella or someone else would also tell me to vote for the person Piggy had told me, but that was about it. Then around F8 or so STD came to me to form an alliance as it became clear to him that the people he had been working with weren't going to survive (or more that he and I were both on the outside of a quickly coalescing alliance). I was initially skeptical about the strength of STD's column and was hesitant to work with him, but having me as a sure ally gave STD the numbers and the confidence to ultimately take his column out and result in the final four that we had.
pablito wrote:Anyway racefan my question for you is why didn't you approach me at f4 to ask me to take you to f2?
I literally hadn't talked to you the whole game. I knew Piggy had to primarily be working with someone other than me (she and I rarely actually had a discussion about who to vote for... if she communicated with me at all it was basically "Hey you should vote for X" and I was like "OK cool"). From what STD had told me when we started working together, I knew it wasn't him. So I figured you two were the closest out of those of us remaining. I figured there was no chance you would suddenly start working with me over her when you'd been working with her the whole time. So I instead tied the vote and let Xalxe decide what would happen. STD had already promised me he'd take me over Piggy to the final two if he had the opportunity (and I had no reason to doubt that), so I figured that was my only possible path to this point. And it worked, because here I am.

Piggy might have the more deserving case to win the game, but I'm not up here against Piggy. I'm here against STD. I believe that if it wasn't for allying with me, STD wouldn't be here right now. That's why I think I should win.

Oh god where would I even start lol...

For years when I was growing up and needed to set an alarm to wake up for school, I would always set the alarm for 6:01 instead of 6:00 just to be different.

I had nothing to do with taking my column out. I realized we didn't have a majority so I came to you to get it. Sometimes, I told people how to vote and I either got lied to or people made mistakes, but my plan was to take BS2000, you, and my column as far as I could.

I may be wrong but I'm not sure that you would be here either if I didn't ally with you.

I like to sing, I don't know if I'm any good or not, I usually do it in the confines of my car or shower, but recently I've started to sing along to music I'm listening to when I'm walking around on the side of the road or at the gym (quietly).
In post 641, Drench wrote:both of you: why did you try
That's actually a great question

For the first half of the game, I didn't. I rolled a dice just for fun to see how far it would take me.

When I realized I had made it halfway, I was like, well, I wonder if I can win this. Most rounds, I put in like 5-10 minutes of effort. I talked to Pablito, I sent some PMs out. The final 5 round I probably put in way more effort than I needed, but I was just trying to figure out how it would crack in my favor and it didn't even work as I intended.

I also realized that if I tried just a little bit more, I'd have a decent shot. I don't know if my bits of extra effort helped or not get me here ultimately, but I don't think they hurt me and they certainly got me immunity a few times.

At the risk of parroting STD... yeah I didn't really try the first half of the game as well. Part of that was by design, and part of it was due to laziness on my part. But hey... in the end, my competitive spirit won out and I decided to try to win the game while I felt I had the chance.
