The setup was crafted as kind of "diffusion of power" in which all players had limited shots of abilities. The town and scum team were literally randomized for the role list (each role you can tell appeared twice, just varied if it was scum or town role). So no role was made with the intention of it being town or scum. I think scum could have played this better if they did much better with their kill assignment (I seriously facepalmed at a few of your guys kill choices), and just in day chat.
Town likewise played horrible on other things. The assumptions made by some players, like "Tevinter Imperium is scum free" or just not electing wardens when they had the opportunity to.
