Eh, 4 months is a really long time. While I do not disagree that there's been a lot of shitposting and shitnoms in the last 3 months, that's always seemed to happen? I think the thread used to be left alone more often because there was a much different atmosphere before, but I can't think of a fairy thread that didn't have periods of shitposting in it except maybe the first? Can you? I don't think really think that having the thread closed for a time is going to solve that problem entirely. Especially since temporary forum bans haven't even really done that other than have the specific posters out for a while. However once there aren't any active noms, if, as the mod of this particular forum, Chev decides to temporarily close the thread for an unspecified period of time in the hopes that better noms can be more common than what is now, that's his choice and I support him in his right to do so.

Oh my god, I actually love that one. Because we've actually taken to talking about her association with idols and how she finds them and experiences them a lot, but she's never used one correctly and it works with the wording. Gotta complete Idol Bingo. And there's so many layers as to why this title is so good. I love it.

No but really, Idol Hands is clunky and has no depth to it whatsoever in this situation. That title would fit someone who happens to find idols like they have obscene amounts of time on their hands and damn near effortlessly(looking at you Klick), it doesn't fit Shadow. It's not about the idols being fake or not. She's never used an idol correctly ever. And she has had fake idols because of Arkham City having fake idols. As well as just missing out on idols. The title needing a bit of explanation hasn't been an issue with titles before, and with this one in particular, it allows for sharing of some really funny stories and events. The Commandment isn't about false idols, it's just ANY idols.

about zoraster as a person? I think there are a lot of aspects to his personality that this doesn't reference, including his profession, interests, personal life, his appearance, his political views, or even what he's best known for on the site: being a mod for games.
I bet no one in this thread has even played a game of Fortnight.

And frankly is this the sort of behavior on this site that we want to reward? Pretty sure people are going to try and replicate it and I think it could set a bad precedent for general behavior on the site. Pretty soon you could see a lot of people trying to do what zoraster does just so that they can try to get a title and that could really be bad for the site IMO.

pun titles are really really bad, especially ones like this where the pun is the only reason that people are nthing it. Honestly feels like chev should put in a real about pun titles because this is getting really ridiculous and I'm tired of how terrible the suggestions are getting for little pieces of text underneath an avatar have been on this website lately. Back in the day titles used to be so much better before everyone ruined them.

Zoraster seems like a nice guy, but I don't really know if he's been around on this site for long enough to have done something worthy of such a prestigious award.
