The next Head of Household will be determined by a competition. Tonight's competition is called "How far can you go?". Players were asked to complete a series of undesireable tasks. Anyone who refuses to do a task will be eliminated. The last one standing would win Head of Household. And the last one standing was....

Skruffs! He was the only one who was willing to grow a beard. That and ryan chose him as the next HoH.

for cycle three! This means that Skruffs cannot be eliminated this game cycle. Furthermore, he has the responsibility of nominating two players for eviction. The deadline for Skruffs's nominations will be exactly 7 days from now.

Special Note:

You all enter the kitchen and realize that the kitchen table has been replaced with a smaller one. You now recognize that fewer and fewer players will be here in the end. As such, the deadline during the voting phase will be reduced to 6 days instead of 7. The nomination currently remains at 7 days, but you all wonder what will happen when some of the beds start to be removed...

Note: Any players that has not posted for 96 consecutive hours is eligible to be replaced without additional notice. I may still replace earlier than that if notice has been given. This has always been touted as a speed game and requires one post every 48 hours minimum.

Well, on the plus side, town scored a victory. On the other, I think ryan just wifomed the whole town. I got a message saying I was the next hoh, and thought
'Wow, why did ryan nominate me? Was it because I was the only person to vote mneme? Or was he scum....'

Oh well. It is time to go back to see if anyone was dumb enough to defend ryan's slip up.

As it stands, I am likely to nominate val and mneme, but I will in the end choose based on general analysii. You can do the nominations thing if you want, but I'm going to be a bit more personally involved than the other hohs were, because town is not yet in a majority.

I'm guessing he means me, just misspelled it. As for Skruffs nomination as HoH, the most logical thing for scum to do in that situation is to pick someone not on his team for nomination. Sure it's WIFOM, but I get the same feeling from Skruffs as DoS does - town.

Do we want to get into the wifom of ryan's choice for nomination? If I was scum, and I got evicted, I would probably try to nominate some one not on my team who was reasonably scummy. Try to flush out potential coups, vetoes n such.

I hadn't noticed that. Even though this week ChaosOmega's vote didn't effect anything since ryan had enough votes for eviction he did vote for someone who ended up being scum. This isn't necessarily the case, but if ChaosOmega is scum with ryan, voting for him after he has essentially been lynched already could make him look more town.

The question of Scruffs=scum or scruffs=town is a huge WIFOM. I'm not willing to draw any conclusions on Scruffs' alignment based on his nomination.

I'm unsure on CO. OTOH, he did the "pile onto the scum after he's dead" thing that's oh, so suspicious. OTOH, unless we think ryan ran a bus straight at him, he's probably not scum with ryan. Though that last isn't that unlikely; need to reread. Finally, there's the general scumishness/newbishness of being the last to vote twice in a row.

I think ryan was being bussed by at least one partner -- his "this is crap" definitely feels like that to me. And clearly, his "what's a floater" -was- a tell; this is why we agressively pursue tells, even though they might not mean anything; all too often, they do.

As I said, I'm pretty sure there's at least one passive-aggressive scum there running up a buddy, just by how ryan reacted to his lynch. I'd do more, but I'm feeling lazy; may do some actual analysis later (like tomorrow or something).

I have pt no pot problem nominating from the following pool-
Faerie, pickem, vel, mneme, and chaos

Reasons:
Faerie- playing low, horrible following vote day 1 (him more than others)

Mneme- it was on on given that ryan would go day 2 but mneme was extremely confident, confidence that later turned out to be well founded, but how did they know?
Also, suspicion of me (voted them) and co (post lynch vote) but ignores pickem (second vote on him)
Also pushing the whole 'scum are here to help town' line day 1.

Pickem- drops mneme to go after others, which coincides with mneme ignoring him. The whole 'wow geez ryan was scum boy am i surprised' reaction also seems force.


Chaos- last to vote twice, could be on on nulltell, though. Ryan's theory that me and co are scum together is diluted by ryan's showing up as scum

Vel- not happy with his contribution yesterday- he says he didn't want to seem to be trying to influence the game, but he was actually trying to avoid responsibility for his nominations.

Well, glad to see that you "actually" know what's going on in my mind, I was kinda unsure there for a while...

Look, DoS didn't have much of a hands-on approach on Day 1 either. So if that's what you're going to nominate me for, then I think it's way off, but it's your nomination. In a game like this, it will get easier for the HoH to contribute as the game goes on because more and more people will already have contributed, and the "battle lines" will have been drawn, so to speak.

As for contributions, I fully plan on giving my input today. My top suspect for today is mneme. Just because ryan turned up scum doesn't mean that mneme isn't bussing a partner or on the other scum team. I think mneme going after ryan for a "slip" was a bit too aggressive. Anyone could have overlooked the stuff on the front page. I didn't remember it until it was pointed out, and I think using that as the springboard for the attack was a bit shady, no matter that it worked out for us by nailing a scum.

Second I'm not sure on at the moment. I'll get back to you.

The thing is, the thing about 'floaters' would have been in Ryan's ROLE PM.
Only scum would have to go to the front page to check on it. Apparently you forgot that you are supposed to be pretending to be a floater.

I wasn't happy with either of the noms yesterday.
My vote for mneme was basically me voting that my read on ryan would be correct.
I never really gave any reasons for voting mneme, as I was never actually suspicous of him to start out.
