Game 1715, right? I'd be happy to replace someone. Would I be removed from the queue if I replaced? Even though I don't think I qualify to do so, I don't think I could handle two games at once, haha.

Yes, you will be taken out of the queue if you join my game.
I just confirmed, so this is just a reminder for Mina to take me out of the queue.
tbh i'd take it one game at a time until you know you like it here anyway, take it slowly
if it's like D2 or 3 of your first game and you want to /in for another, then I'd suggest the Open Queue. My Newbie started to move really abnormally slow after the second day so that's what I did and I definitely didn't regret it. But the point is use the game to get your feet wet before you start /inning for non-newbies and then siteflake, i see that a lot
i no longer strictly go by they/them and honestly prefer she/her but they/them's fine if you're used to it i guess
I think we should good for another game anytime now.
yeah me too! Matrix6 is a really good set-up imo and I've been excited to go at it again as a SE
The newbie queue can be a bit slow though, most of the other queues start games a bit quicker. Mina just likes to make sure there's enough newbies in case some of them siteflake (which is very common) so she can replace them.

Newbies get priority, but for the most part this is true. You're not allowed to /in to two newbie games at once if you don't have a completed one, so you can't replace into one. Have you PM'd Nero yet? "/In to replace" is only a thing for large themes iirc, so you have to directly PM the mod if you want to join that game

want to join a newbie game , any game thread is open now?
if you want to join a new newbie game, you can post "/in for next" in here
usually after a few days (to a week, maybe longer if she's busy) Mina will post the playerlist for that game and it'll start.
if patience isn't your thing, you can replace into a newbie game since they need replacements quite often. usually 2 days after a game starts, there will be a slot or two that needs someone to take over since the person who was playing siteflaked. i don't see any games right now that need replacements, but a few games are just starting now so you might want to start checking up on them.

I think you have to mod a normal or open before you're allowed to moderate a newbie game
tb you were literally in his normal
keyen have you checked which mods have /inned before you and if they got a game yet? i know the queue usually moves very slowly so it's possible mina just hasn't gotten to you yet
UTL is also probably right

basically you /in for a game as you already have
then once there's a mod (usually with newbie experience), 2-3 SEs, an IC, and several newbie slots (enough to fill a game and then some in case someone site flakes) who all have /inned, Mina sets up the game and notifies the mod to send out role pms. usually it takes about 3-7 days for a game to start, this is the slowest queue on the site in general since there isn't as much of a commitment/expectation to play from the newbie slots since this queue is made to A: lower the amount of siteflaking slots in other games, B: help newcomers test the waters of this site, and C: serve as a queue where the focus is learning
if i left out anything important lmk
